About The Pavillion Tunstall

Tucked in the small hamlet of Tunstall less than 4 miles from Kirkby Lonsdale, this former tennis pavilion is a lavish couples’ hideaway. Set within a private garden with an outdoor hot tub just a short walk from the village gastro pub, this romantic retreat is perfect for two.

Surrounded by superb scenery with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District national parks, this dog-friendly holiday home is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who love a little luxury. Lovingly renovated, this single-storey property features stylish, high-end furnishings and exquisite attention to detail.

Designed for comfort and convenience, there’s underfloor heating throughout, a Sonos sound system and hyper-fast broadband. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a lofty, vaulted ceiling and a cosy seating area with a Smart TV and a warming wood burner.

When stomachs rumble, rustle up home-cooked treats in the fully equipped kitchen before savouring an intimate meal for two at the breakfast bar. Alternatively dine alfresco in the grassy, enclosed garden looking over the neighbouring field, before sinking into the hot tub beneath the pergola to unwind before bed.

When night falls, snuggle under the covers of the super-king-size bedroom, which has a second Smart TV for watching films in bed. A contemporary tiled shower room completes the interior and the property benefits from private parking for two cars.

With great walks from your front door, this is a superb base for walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. Explore picturesque dales, fells, rivers and woodland in the nearby Yorkshire Dales or head for Windermere (24.5 miles) for a taste of the lakes.

The market town of Kirkby Lonsdale (4 miles) boasts a wealth of independent shops and restaurants in its atmospheric streets. It’s also home to two famous viewpoints: Ruskin’s View and the Devil’s Bridge.

Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 6 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 12 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Bowland Wild Boar Park - PR3 2QT
about 17 Miles
Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 23 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU

Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public.
