Harry Potter fans can visit the famous Alnwick Castle just 12 miles away.

Alternatively, stroll along the beautiful marina in the friendly port of Amble (10 miles), or head into the town of Rothbury (10.5 miles) to visit historic Cragside House and Gardens – the first home in Britain to be lit by hydroelectricity. From the private parking area (there’s room for three cars), step through the back door of your cottage, and you’ll be immediately greeted by the sleek and stylish kitchen.
