Had a fantastic stay at Willow Cottage! The place is cosy and full of charmand super clean with all essentials provided. We loved relaxing in the hot tub most evenings-just a heads up to give it a couple of hours to heat up. Lovely walks straight from the door and loads of pubs and cafes nearby. We'll definitely return!
Jamie
We absolutely loved our stay here! The cottage feels truly special and perfect for exploring Northumberland's stunning countryside and coastline. The rooms are spacious, comfortableand well-equipped, with lovely views, especially from the master bedroom - waking up to that was a real treat. The outdoor space is pretty magical, with plenty of birdlife to enjoy. The seated area and hot tub are such nice touchesand Margaret, the host, was really friendly and welcoming. Would definitely come back!
David
Great spot if you're into peaceful walks and escaping the hustle. Bellingham isn't far for supplies. The cottage feels a bit wornand the kitchen's quite basic. Still, the tranquility makes up for it!
Lisa
This place was really charming, comfyand had everything we needed. The hot tub was a highlightand the quirky garden was lovely to explore!
Sarah
We stayed in this charming little cottage and loved its unique vibe. The location was perfect for exploring. The beds were super comfy, so much so I actually bought the same duvet afterwards. Definitely recommend!
Alex
Charming little place in a stunning Northumberland area!
Emma
We really enjoyed staying at this quirky little cottage. It's cosy and quite peaceful, even though it's close enough to shops. The rustic charm was lovely, even if some decor and bits of equipment looked a bit tired. The kitchen was well stocked, which was perfect for self-catering. The hot tub was a bit temperamental, needing logs to warm up and regular fire tending, but it was fun once it heated up. We stayed from Monday to Wednesdayand the chemical-free nature made it a little smelly after a while, so we didn't use it much after that. Overall, a charming stay!
Oliver
We really enjoyed our time here! The location is fantastic with lovely walks right from the doorstep. The hot tub and wood burner made it extra special. Easy to get to Kielder and Hexham. Definitely recommended, thanks a lot!
Simon
We really enjoyed our stay at Dipper Cottage! The place is beautifully kept, super cosyand felt like a proper home from home. The farmhouse kitchen was lovely to hang out inand the beds were so comfy. Our dog had a great time exploring, especially the garden and the Finnish kota hut. The wood-fired hot tub was a real treat - it heated up really quickly. Plus, the village just a couple of miles away has great pubs, a shopand bakeries. We'll definitely be back!
Sam
The cottage was super cosy and welcoming, perfect spot for exploring stunning scenery nearby. Loved the quirky touches insideand the walks from right outside made it extra special. Absolutely loved it!
Mark
Really cosy place with great views and amenities.
Emily
Honestly, we loved this cottage! It's a real hidden treasure if you're after a peaceful countryside retreat. Very cosy and chill, perfect for older couples or folks with dogs. It's a bit remote, so not ideal for big families with young kids, but close enough to Bellingham for groceries and a quick pint. Otterburn's a little further out but has a nice pub. The only thing is, it's quite a trek from big supermarkets, but Sainsburys do deliver right here, so no worries on that front!

Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT

Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.

Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX
about 18 Miles
Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
