Vista Tasso

Just back from an amazing three night break, the hosts met us at the property and showed us round which was a really nice touch. We only had one slight issue with the hot tub, this was sorted in record time by a very friendly Greg. Can't recommend enough , we'll definitely be back.

The property was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The owners were helpful and very friendly, they made it clear that we should contact them if we had any issues or even if we wanted advice on anything from where to dine out or days out, this contact was made by text messages which again was almost instant and very helpful. The hot tub was an excellent feature which we made good use of. The area was as described plenty amenities close by and we found the locals very friendly, especially the owners and staff in the local pub, the Victoria Park, they made us feel very welcome and again were on hand for any advice. We found that a car was a must as the area was not flat and having elderly parents with us they did struggle a little with the terrain, having the car did however allow us to explore nearby villages with ease. Our only complaint was the house felt it lacked a few finishing touches only small things like fixtures in the bathrooms, mirrors, hooks on the back of the doors etc and could have done with a deep clean of the windows and stairs, having said this it did did not take anything away from a very enjoyable stay.

Lovely property, perfect for our needs. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of room in the dining area for 7 adults and 2 children under 4 years of age. Comfortable beds. We took our own travel cot but were offered a cot and a high chair on arrival so they are available if required. Hot tub and table tennis room a bonus. Shops & pubs within walking distance but very hilly so not suitable if there are mobility issues.

My family, friends and I had a fantastic weekend in this amazing house. We had a short walk into the village and had a drink and the best burger ever at The Fourth Fiend Taphouse, then continued to walk to Folly Dolly Falls. Nothing was too much for the owners.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at the property. Hosts were very responsive and nothing was too much trouble. Location was great and we were lucky to have great weather too and had some lovely experiences in Meltham, Holmfirth and up the hill at the Travellers Pub. We would definitely stay here again in future. Hot tub and garden area were great and not overlooked. Only scored slightly lower on cleanliness due to the glass staircase not being shiny clean but this is probably a nightmare to keep pristine!

Plenty of space in the house with rooms of good size. With 9 of us and 2 dogs this was great. Great entrance with plenty of room for coming and going, loads of space for shoescoats etc. Down stairs shower and utility room handy when using hot tub. Location of property was good with just a short walk to shops and pubs. Easy walks from house too, which is handy with not having to drive somewhere.

The owner was very responsive and happy to help us with any issues. They went above and beyond in terms of showing us around the property and making sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Amazing property and amazing hosts nothing was too much we stayed for Christmas and it was perfect. I would highly recommend this property perfect location and lovely walks and views will definitely stay again.

The house was perfect for a family get together, had everything we could think of from games room to dog bowls. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful property, very clean, well maintained. Only issue was the hot tub which we did not use as much as we would have liked as it wasnt heating properly. Owners on hand for any issues though. Would thoroughly recommend the property for a family holiday away however.

This is a great house, very spacious and all the facilities you need. Fabulous location, close to the moors. Hosts available if required. Could do with a little touch up here and there. Note if you have mobility issues you need a car as it's a hilly area. Would definitely recommend.

Great property for the whole family to feel at home and a great base to explore the surrounding area

We had a lovely weekend at vista tasso for my birthday. the owners were friendly and helpful and greeted us on arrival to show us round. lovely little touches like, tea, coffee, milk and a box of chocs to make you feel welcome. There was 7 of us all tigether 5 adults 2 kids and 2 small dogs everyone loved the ping pong and the hot tub, the hiuse was plenty big enough and the kids loved playing hide and seek. Great walks, amazing views, and we ventured into 2 local pubs, the travellers rest and the wagon and horses and again both very welcoming. all in all a fabulous weeknd and would recommend.

Lovely house in a great location for walking and visiting Holmefirth. Great facilities, very spacious and well equipped. We were met by the owners who were very welcoming and responsive during our stay. Would highly recommend staying here.

A fantastic property. Both Janet and Greg were brilliant hosts. We used The Lavender room beauty parlour, they came to the house and gave us all treatments. We've just returned from a fabulous week at Vista Tasso. The house was very spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for us all without ever feeling in each other's way. The kitchen was very well equipped and we loved the views across the local area from the front of the house. The owners greeted us on arrival and took us around the house. They also kept in touch before we arrived and throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble when we contacted them. The Hot tub and table tennis were well used and a welcome addition. There are some lovely local walks and places to visit. Very close to local amenities too. All in all a really great house for a break which you can make as busy or chilled out, as you desire.

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Vista Tasso. The hosts were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. The accommodation was perfect. Comfortable, spacious bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms available, an excellent well equipped kitchen, lovely big lounge, table tennis in the garage and a super, compact garden with a hot tub and lots of outdoor seating. The house is in a perfect location within walking distance of the centre of Meltham with shops, bars and restaurants. There are some super walks nearby with pub stops along the way. We had a fantastic time and the dogs loved it too. We would definitely consider a return visit.

We booked for my wife's 60th birthday for the weekend for all the family to be in one place as a group and we could not have asked for a better place. The property was excellent and we had a great time, bread and milk was present on arrival and we met the hosts who were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they gave us some great recommendations about where to eat. We would definitely look to go back. Highly recommended. Even went to the trouble of putting some Happy Birthday banners up, a great place with great views.

We stayed at Vista Tasso as a surprise long weekend for my husbands 50th birthday. The house was absolutely beautiful and the local area is picturesque. The owners met us at the property on arrival and showed us round. Nothing was too much trouble and they even messaged us over the course of the weekend to check that everything was ok. Truly genuine and lovely people! The kids loved the ping pong table in the games room and even though there was 10 of us, the house was really spacious and it never felt cramped or like we were on top of each other. We would highly recommend this home and will definitely be back for more visits in the future!

A great place for a holiday with the extended family

A beautiful well equipped house in a lovely quiet location the really enjoyed the jacuzzi. The owners are very helpful. Some places to visit whilst your there that we really enjoyed the carding shed . The huntsman inn . The Boshaw Trout. Hinchliffe's Farm Shop.

The house was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again

A fantastic stay and to get there and find bread, milk, tea, coffee & even a small box of chocolates was a very nice and personal touch . Everything there you could want for your stay would highly recommend and will be back for sure. Another very nice touch was texts from the owner to see if there was anything we needed to know while we were there to make sure all was ok and a thanks when we left .

Spent an amazing weekend celebrating my daughters 30th birthday with family and friends. The house is lovely and it's location is perfect. Teabags milk bread and chocolates were a lovely welcome gift. The property has everything you could need and is furnished to a high standard. Would definitely return here

Fresh new property, finished to a high standard and in excellent condition. Owners are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Location is walking distance from both the centre of town and the countryside with a lovely view across the valley that Meltham sits in. Recommended. Especially for a bigger family or a group.

Just come back from a weekend away here with the family celebrating my mother in laws 60th. Wow what can I say! The house is amazing, much more spacious that the pics represent. Beds were super comfortable as were all the sofas. The kitchen has absolutely everything you can think of. Loved the garden which was perfect for the kids and dogs. Had the best time chilling in the great Hottub on an evening. The owners were very accommodating and ensured we were ok during our visit, nothing seemed too much hassle for them. Would definitely recommend staying here and will hopefully be back ourselves.

Fantastic House. The hosts couldnt be more welcoming. Regularly checked in to make sure we had no problems. The house had everything that you could possibly need. Would definitely recommend this lovely house. Had everything you needed and the hosts were very friendly and checking everything was ok. The hot tub was lovely and the house was spotless and very spacious. Complimentary chocolates, milk and bread was a very nice surprise and there was also tea, coffee and sugar. Great views from kitchen window.

This property is apparently dog friendly. The owner isnt that happy and may charge you a surcharge if your dog may scratch the flakey painted doors.We left the property clean and tidy and still the owner wants to charge us for wear and tear.Wont be going back.The Ovan doesnt work properly and grill wasnt getting hot too.What out for the noisy bearings on the washing machine
