Wake up and set off to conquer Pen-y-ghent (10 miles), one of the celebrated Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, then reward your efforts with a well-earned pint and a hearty meal in one of Settle's traditional pubs. Alternatively, head in5o Ingleton (7 miles) to follow its famous waterfalls trail, or venture underground at White Scar Cave (8 miles).

Further afield, make a beeline for Skipton (19.5 miles), where a medieval castle presides over a bustling high street. Take a few steps up to your glamping pod and step inside to find a bright, open-plan space that makes clever use of every corner.

Natural light, sleek styling and pale wood-effect flooring create a calm, contemporary feel throughout. Whip up your favourite dishes in the compact kitchen area, which is fitted with smart dark units and a solid wood worktop, and then pull up a chair to share a casual meal at the handy fold-down dining table.
