A most enviable location with five acres of its own grounds, direct access to open and dramatic moorland including Barbon Fell and magnificent all-round views of this beautiful corner of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Transformed in 2008 from a former farmhouse, no expense was spared in creating this three-storey holiday home, with high tech installations throughout, integrated sound systems, sophisticated lighting systems, modern building techniques, underfloor heating throughout and the latest in solar power which all go together to provide a holiday home of considerable merit. Again, little expense has been spared in setting up this first-rate facility which includes a fabulous fifteen metre heated swimming pool, a separate steam room and sauna, a built in sunken seven-seater Jacuzzi and a spiral staircase leads down to a small yoga/pilates area. The whole area is detailed with a polished stone tiled surround with a delightful seating area, a reflective bespoke ceiling, integrated lighting systems and the full-length windows afford excellent views across the Lune valley.

High Fellside Hall Reviews

High Fellside Hall is one of the best places weve stayed at it fulfilled our expectations and some ! The facilities were just perfect and suited all of our party aged 1 to 90 years old. The surrounding countryside was beautiful and although our weather wasnt the best we did have one lovely walk up the hills to appreciate the position of the hall. We will definitely be returning in the future ! Thank you Diane
Everything was fantastic, and to the description in the cottage references. The facilities were outstanding and well used.
Deborah
High Fellside Hall is fabulous, the pool being the star of the show. We stayed there with family for 3 nights, age range 11 to 73. The house is so spacious, comfy and felt luxurious with several large reception rooms so you could break away from the main group or could easily accommodate everyone altogether in one room. Perfect. The views are gorgeous, even in torrential rain! The whole family loved our stay here. The owners have thought of everything, providing all the amenities you need. The communication was fantastic throughout. The bedrooms were ideal for us, very spacious and comfortable. The listing states 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, although they are not all bathrooms with one being a downstairs WC, another a WC and a shower for the pool area. Perhaps Sykes should make this more obvious on their listing. The lower ground floor has a huge pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a small room down a spiral staircase for yoga or similar. Photos do not do the spa area justice, it is so big with plenty of loungers, tables and chairs. The owners provided several inflatables which were great fun. The only disappointment for us the shallow end of the pool is 1.5m leaving us shorter people on tip toes and only a small ladder to get in. And around the pool becomes very slippery when wet. Only mentioning this so people are aware. There is another house on the other side of the lane which we weren't expecting but it is private and felt like we were all alone in the beautiful farmland. This house is perfect for friends and families alike, looking for fun time together, or simply peaceful tranquility to get away from it all.
A really excellent holiday enjoyed by all age from 4 to 77. Swimming pool in particular stands out though I suggested to the owner that a warning about its slippy floor when wet. It is particularly large and warm and the sauna and steam room were great additions. The hot tub was a bit cooler than usual, but we saw this as an advantage with our young children. Walksrun from immediately outside the house and excellent views. Bedrooms very comfortable, large and well appointed. Kitchen similarly large and well appointed. It took a while to almost understand the tech lights and audiovisual, even though some same as ours at home. Expansive seating area outside though some seat cushions would have been useful, both for outside and swimming pool loungers. Owner available and responsive on the few occasions we contacted her. An up to date floor plan would have been useful allocating rooms to so many people really needs a plan the owner kindly sent us one but pre some works. Lots of attractions in the area and we easily filled out 2 weeks. We don't usually return to the same venue, but I think this property might be an exception. Our 'Good Housekeeping' bond was promptly returned.

We were slightly worried that the pictures looked too good to be true but somehow it's even nicer in person. We would 100 recommend to any large groups and will definitely be back.
Great house for a large gathering, excellent facilities and a fantastic swimming pool. Very secluded and quiet, superb views and very friendly neighbours, the Herdwicks! Any issue we had was swiftly dealt with. Very generous welcome pack.
Fantastic house and facilities.

Fabulous house located in peaceful hills near to sheep and tiny lambs. From 18 of us we had 17 staying in the house at any one time and we fit comfortably in the dining room or at the pool area when we wanted to be together then had lots of space round the house for alone time too! We had an amazing holiday at the beautiful High Fellside Hall and now planning our return trip!
Another Fantastic Break at High Fellside Diane gave a very warm welcome. Thank you for the gorgeous welcome gift Top quality immaculate accommodation. Pool and sauna perfect temperature. We love the amazing scenery. A truly special place Cant wait to return Thank you
We enjoyed our long weekend at High Fellside Hall enormously. The house is truly on another level of luxury and comfort. The property was spotless when we arrived and Diane was so accommodating ensuring we had everything we needed for all the party. The pool is exceptional and was enjoyed by everyone. We were planning our return visit before this one was over! Thank you so much for giving us such wonderful memories.
Photos dont do the property justice. Absolutely incredible & the swimming pool leisure suite is a real treat. We felt like we had the luxury of staying in a hotel but just ourselves. Diane is an excellent host, lots of treats left. Thank you.
We had such a lovely stay here for my younger brothers 21st birthday, it was a great location for all ages from 4 to 94! !! Diane left some lovely balloons for my brother and such a lovely full welcome box of treats, these little things really do mean a lot. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and hopefully we will be back one day, everyone fell in love with the property. Thank you so much for having us! xxx
This was our 2nd trip back to High Fellside Hall and it is still as amazing as we remember! Great facilities so even when the weather isnt great it doesnt matter. Rooms comfortable and clean. Views incredible! We hope to return for a third trip!
The house was beautiful and perfect for our family getaway. We took my mum with late stage Alzheimers and dad who has mobility issues and both were very comfortable in the ground floor bedroom and at the large dining table with room for everyone. My sister has 9 children ranging from age 720, and they enjoyed using the facilities, especially the swimming pool and playing in the grounds. We wouldve like to have stayed longer! My daughter is training to be a chef, so she was cooking for everyone. The kitchen was amazing and had everything she needed. Utensils and equipment were all high end and we had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and towels and bedding were clean and very good quality. We had a lovely time. Some of the TVs had remotes missing. We found a sock and power bank behind furniture when we were looking for the remotes!
Lovely property and great location. Kitchen well stocked for a large group. Cleanliness was outstanding.
Hi Diane, thank you for a fantastic weekend at High Fell side Hall, we had a a wonderful weekend. Amazing location with lovely views and fresh air. Amazing facilities, really relaxing place. The pool was absolutely brilliant and we loved it and we were all very chilled. I would recommend this place for anybody wanting to have a celebration with friends and family, or just go because you can and enjoy it, was brilliant.
Absolutely stunning house. Beautiful location, well set out, with great space in every room to relax. We were a team of 16 colleagues and the sleeping arrangements were great, ensuring everyone had their own space! We found that we didn't want to leave the property apart for a gentle walk, as the facilities were fantastic and we enjoyed making use of the pooljacuzzisteam room and sauna! Great communication with the host, and the neighbours young lambs with their mothers were just the cutest thing to see each morning. Would highly recommend.

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
