Ingleborough Reviews

Doreen
Lovely house for a large family holiday with plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub was used every day by some of our party. There is ample parking space and the house is in a great location for all Kirkby Lonsdale has to offer.
A beautiful house which was perfect for 6 people and two dogs. It was extremely clean and comfortable with spacious bedrooms, clean modern decor and great facilities. There was ample parking for three cars, and its location meant it was perfect for getting out and about be that a short walk into the town to shops, bars and restaurants, or further afield. There were a couple of minor issues the dishwasher had not been topped up with salt or rinseaid, but this was quickly sorted with a telephone call. There were not enough toilet rolls so we had to purchase some, and cooking dishes and baking trays were precariously loaded into an overhear cupboard and almost fell out when we opened it. There is a risk that light sleepers in a room that overlooks the local Booth's supermarket will be briefly woken by delivery vehicles early in the morning probably unavoidable without earplugs. Other than that I would highly recommend Ingleborough as a relaxing, high end, comfortable base for a group of up to 8 people and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!

We stayed at this property four years ago and we were all disappointed this time. Firstly there was no welcome pack. Looking in the cupboards to start cooking, no salt. Further investigation only one dish washer tablet, one bin liner, no kitchen roll. No instructions for the hob, which we never got to work. Also not enough toilet rolls. Fan didnt work in the main bathroom. It just seems as though as not enough care or a checklist hadn't been done. Disappointing and won't be staying again.

Only thing missing was black out blinds on the bedroom windows. Woke very early as too light
We loved our stay at Ingleborough. The house was perfect for our family of eight. The kitchen and dinning area was very spacious for eating and socializing. The hot tub was a nice extra. The location was perfect for the center of Kirby lonsdale with lots of pubs and eateries near by. The supermarket is just around the corner . There are lots of nice walks around Kirby lonsdale lonsdale and we look forward to visiting again.,Martin

Had a fab time, perfect location, spacious and has everything you need. We will be back several times over. Kirkby Lonsdale is our second home.

Stunning house. We cant fault a thing. We spent a lovely four days at Ingleborough and wished we had booked a longer stay. Bed was so comfortable and it makes a nice change to have lovely bedding and pillows as most places dont pay attention to details like that. Garden and hot tub were perfect. Loved the fact that its only a short walk into town so you dont need to always use the car and perfect for our dogs. We are already looking to book again for next year. Cant wait to come back. Its our new favourite place!

Very comfortable accomodation, finished to high standard. Great location only few minutes walk into Kirby Lonsdale, and easy access for visiting Dales and Cumbria lakes
A lovely property, immaculately maintained and presented. We had everything we needed. Its in a lovely location, perfect for Kirkby Lonsdale town and its facilities. It was ideal for our group of 3 couples.
Sandra
Beautiful property, ideal for a large group or family. Spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds. Large kitchen and dining area which was well equipped. Comfortable lounge with smart tv. Enjoyed the hot tub with the spacious back garden. Situated within a 5 mins walk of all the towns amenities including a nice selection of small independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Lovely local walks particularly down by the river. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kirby Lonsdale. Also a Booths supermarket 5mins walk away which was very handy. Great place to stay would definitely recommend.

This deserves 10 stars! We had multiple birthday celebrations all over 1 weekend 1 80th, 3 50ths and an 18th and so booked Pen Y Ghent and Ingleborough for all 16 people, and a dog, to stay in. With ages ranging from 17 to 85, we had trouble finding suitable accomodation for everyone but these 2 houses fitted the bill perfectly. Right next to each other, excellent location, hot tubs, plenty of space, they ticked everybox for us. Both properties are truely stunning, exceptionally well furnished and immactulately presented. It takes a lot to stop the mother in law talking, but when she first walked in she was silenced and walked around with her jaw open admiring it all. This alone was worth it! The kitchen has a vast array of equipment, utensils, plates and crockery and with such huge dining table, we could all eat and drink together. The younger ones in the group, enjoyed the guge tv and the fast wifi and comfortable sofas in the front rooms. Everyone commented on the excellent bedrooms, noting expecially how comfortable the beds were. Those with an ensuite room found the walkin showers very handy, especially the 85 year old Father in law who does have some reduced mobility. The location is perfect for a 2 minute stoll into the town of Kirky Lonsdale and all its shops and pubs, and about a 10 minute walk to Devils bridge with the excellent butty van. We have stayed in multiple holiday cottages over the last 10 years and genuinely, these 2 properties are right at the top of the list for quality, location, facilities and enjoyment. Don't even hesitate to book either property, you will not regret it.

Had a wonderful week with friends over New Year in this superb and well appointed accomodation. The experience was further enhanced by the fact that my wife left her Kindle in a bedroom....and the owner arranged to post it back free if charge. Sykes Cottages also were very helpful in retrieving this item. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Beverley
The accommodation was very well equipped and comfortable. Perfect for 4 couples and 2 dogs. Bedrooms were spacious with super comfortable beds and great showers. The hot tub was a bonus. The house was all decorated for Christmas, which was lovely. Excellent location, short stroll to the shops, bars and restaurants.
Jackie
We all had a wonderful time living in the Ingleborough. Our only gripe is that there was no dish cloths, washing up liquid or tea towels for us to wash up. We did use the dishwasher but any odd cups, plates etc used after the dishwasher was finished we couldnt wash them up. Also there wasnt many toilet rolls provided.
Cheryl
Great property in the beautiful village of Kirkby Lonsdale. Excellent facilities at the house and easy access to various places in the Lake District. I saw in another review the hot tub jets weren't very strong each jet can be altered so I think the jets were just turned down when that person visited.
Great location, super property for family gathering. Very clean and modern. Couldnt ask for more. 5 min walk up the hill from the high street with a brewery part way!
This is the third time we have stayed at this accommodation, still amazing however, the little personalised touches are missing which adds the sparkle and justifies the jump in price tag such as bubble bath, robes & hampers etc. that is no longer the case. Kitchen is slightly worn now however still very luxurious
A lovely spacious home, very well equipped. Family enjoyed the hot tub very much. Would thoroughly recommend.
Nicola
Ingleborough was a fabulous find for our family get together of 8 people plus baby plus dog as it is very spacious and well equipped with ample parking. The attractive decor and very comfy beds made for a lovely stay. Situated within close proximity to the amenities and walks of Kirby Lonsdale. Would highly recommend!
Brilliant place to stay, so much space for everyone, very private plenty of parking, ideally placed for Kirby Lonsdale just a few minutes walk away. Enclosed garden for the dogs. Just one thing, the hot tub was a bit too hot and the jets were not very strong. We hope to be back
Lindsay
Fabulous accommodation in a great location. Everything to hand locally there were three generations in our party and everyone enjoyed the facilities at Inglethorpe, from the books to the games to the Hot tub fantastic. Will recommend to friends.
We absolutely loved our stay. The house is spacious, well equipped and near to all local amenities. We will definitely be returning.
Excellent holiday home for a group of friends. Very comfortable and spacious. Plenty of room to get together or spend quiet time alone. Good communication with the owner who attended to a small issue immediately. Close to all local amenities good parking.
Richard
Beautiful property in a great location with everything you need for an enjoyable stay.
