For your entertainment, a selection of books, games, and DVDs are provided, along with a Smart TV (Netflix) with a DVD player, perfect for nights in. Climbing the stairs of this homely abode, you will be greeted by two inviting bedrooms; one adaptable room that can be arranged as a single, zip/link king-size, or a twin to suit your needs, complete with a non-Freeview TV and DVD player for your entertainment, and a double room.
Both rooms are served by a well-appointed bathroom, boasting a bath with a shower over, a basin, and a WC, where you can enjoy a relaxing soak after a day of adventures. Step outside to the enclosed garden, where you can enjoy a spot of alfresco dining on the lawn or the gravelled area, complete with a picnic bench.
There is also undercover seating, providing a sheltered spot to enjoy the outdoors, regardless of the weather. Just opposite the home is a play park and tennis courts, adding another layer of fun to your break; the village is also home to a welcoming sports and social club where you can enjoy some games and an evening tipple.
This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals. Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area. Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos. At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed. Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
