Earl Grey Reviews

Amelia Grace
We ended up staying here unexpectedly after our original booking fell throughand honestly, it turned out to be a lovely surprise! The cottage and its surroundings are really picturesque, perfect for a relaxing break. The hot tub was great, especially since it’s a decent size. Just a heads up, the water tank is small, so showers can get chilly. The host was super friendlyand we appreciated the free bread, butterand eggs. Only downside was the outside light near the hot tub didn’t workand the sink was a bit tricky to use, but overall, a lovely stay!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay, the cottage was cosy and the owners super welcoming. They gave us some top tips for Bedale!
Alex Morgan
Really enjoyed staying here, beautiful location, great facilitiesand the hosts were super helpful too!
Andrew
We really enjoyed our stay; it was just what we needed. The location was peaceful, though a nearby pub or cafe would have been perfect. Still, a lovely, relaxing break overall.

Lovely stay with friendly owners, highly recommend this place!

Located in a stunning part of Yorkshire, we were lucky with the weather, which is a huge plus if you like to stroll from your door. The site is super peaceful and relaxing. We took a drive to some N.T. properties and the Gorge nearby. A few pubs have shut down, but we had a delightful Lamb Shank at the King's Head in Kettlewell after wandering around the charming village and church garden.

What a beautiful setting! The hosts were so lovely and welcoming. We really enjoyed our time hereand everything felt just right. It was one of those places where you can relax and feel at home. The scenery was stunning and added to the whole experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a nice getaway!
Emma
This was just what we were looking for! A perfect little hideaway to tune out from everything else for a few days!
Chloe
We really enjoyed our stay and New Year at the summer house. It was the perfect way to see in 2023. The hot tub was faband we definitely recommend the drop and dip service to have it ready and warm on your first night - we didn't take advantage of it, but we'd definitely do it next time. If you sit still, the light goes outand you can just gaze at the stars. The accommodation was wonderful and incredibly well laid out, plus the bed was really cosy and comfy too. Highly recommended!

This property looks really nice but we found the overall stay quite un-relaxing, so we left after just one night. The bedroom is small but comfortable and quiet. However, the downstairs area is so tiny that it just doesn't work. Washing up is a bit of a challenge since you have to put your head under the stairs and into the corner to reach the sink! The hob took 15 minutes to boil waterand the shower ran out of ho t water. The WIFI didn't work eitherand those bar stools were super uncomfortable. You can sit outside, but there's no lighting at night. It all feels a bit overpriced.
Sam
The owners and admin staff are just brilliant. They are really kind and always ready to help us out!
Lucy
This was our third time coming here and we had a fantastic week! We’d definitely recommend it! Planning to visit again soon.
Clara
Beautifully presented, with the most scenic settings. The cottage itself was a dream, with great facilities! Karl was really attentive and the bread, jam and fresh eggs were a brilliant touch.
Tom
We had an absolutely superb weekendand the cottage and surroundings were just beautiful! The renovation is done to a pristine level. It's really quaint, quiet, cleanand perfect for a couple's getaway. The hot tub was lovely. It heated up in no time and kept its warmth really well. Considering the weather, I thought it might be cold at night, but it was so cosy and warm. We enjoyed listening to the wind howling while curled up in bed watching the telly. We would definitely recommend this place and are keen to return. Absolutely beautiful!
Ben
This cottage is simply stunning and nestled on a fantastic plot of land surrounded by lovely nature, even if the road leading up to it is a bit rough. Inside, the fit and finish are higher spec, but unfortunately, some areas feel a bit dated. We knew it would be small, but the layout made it kinda awkward to cook, move about, or just relax. Plus, we found a patch of damp on the stairwell wall that attracted a fair few wood lice during our stay. With a little TLC beforehand, our experience could have been so much better!
Susan
We really enjoyed this place, even though it was smaller than we expected! We'd definitely recommend it for quick getaways and would love to stay there again.
Emma
What a gorgeous cottage and setting! It wasn't the easiest to find, but once we took the track leading to it, it felt like we were leaving the world behind. So quiet and peaceful with stunning views. The cottage was clean and really well thought out for maximum use of space. The kitchen had all sorts of handy appliances and was spotless. The hot tub was private and intimateand Karl was a fantastic host, always accommodating if we needed anything during our stay!
Ben
What a perfect spot for a couple's retreat! It’s small but incredibly cosy and really well designed, so you never feel like you’re missing out on anything. The tower is just half a mile down a private road to the farm, so the views are stunningand at night, all you can hear are the owls and pheasants.
