The accommodation was excellent and we were very happy with the cleanliness our only problem was that the large TV in the living room was faulty and we could not get it to work properly. We called the agent who said that someone would call to fix it, that didn't happen and this was disappointing. The hot tub was not hot and there was no way of raising the temperature, this was also disappointing. However, despite those two problems it was an excellent place to stay and we would stay again no problem, thank you.

Stay was ruined due to foul smelling water from all taps and the shower making the bathtub and shower unable to be used for entire stay. Had to use bottled water for brushing teeth etc. Decor within the home nice and lots of kitchen utensils and equipment to use. Hot tub was hot on arrival.

The cabin is located in Lovely quiet setting. First impressions where very good. On the surface Cleanliness was fairly good but could be improved in places. The microwave was not clean inside, behind the sofa was very dusty with dead flies. The fence around the cabin wasnt secure for a small dog, maybe a netting could be fitted around the bottom. The water pressure was very poor, couldn't wash our hair because it kept going to a trickle and cold. Other than these problems mentioned it was a lovely place to stay.

Absolutely beautiful accommodation. Plenty of space for our dog to roam, which he loved. Close to lots of lovely walks, and fun places for children. Cannot wait to return

1010! The cabin is stunning! The cabin is spacious, clean and modern! Everything you need in the cabin is there. A spacious court yard area for our beagle. The hot tub was great too! The cabin is based in a lovely quiet area on the site, plus the site is a short drive away from local shops etc. Also around the site, there are plenty of scenic walks we enjoyed. As well as a 3040 minute drive to Whitby and Scarborough. The perfect getaway, we would come again!

Few issues with water pressure and the boiler being under pressure when we arrived but I soon sorted that. Water out of a borehole not filtered. But other than that 1010 would highly recommend

We loved the property but on arriving their was no heating on and it was freezing cold it would have been better to have put the heating on a few hours before we got there, kitchen was so cold. The hot tub first night was OK but for 2 days was too cold til someone came and checked it.we had no use of tvs for the whole weekend just wouldn't work told to change batteries but their was only one and no one came to check so we gave up. I want to say it's a lovely cabin and we did have a nice relaxing time but it's a good job I had my ipad with us to watch a bit of TV with my sky go and apps, really think it should be looked into as kids love TV. Also the bedding on the big bed was was too small and kept popping off very annoying. Please look into these points as I said it was lovely but just frustrating and doubt we'd go back because of these points.

The place was lovely. Rang up first day but no reply water was just a trickle no pressure.bath was a no go.tv kept going black no picture remote in room .was useless.hit miss.dishwasher worked once then wouldnt go again.hot tub was ace but thought should be checked n filled up daily or at least looked at in 4 days not sure.

The cottage was very well cleaned when we got there. The location was excellent for exploring North Yorkshire and there was ample parking. The host was also quick to respond when communicated. As other reviews state, the water pressure was extremely poor which made washing up and showering quite difficult. The cottage would benefit from some additional items to aid guests such as a drying rack for inside drying of clothing, some kitchen scissors, some larger style pint glasses, coathangers for hanging clothing. We feel it would be useful to mention in the property description that the water supply is from a borehole to allow guests ample preparation of drinking water. We also agree with other reviews about the garden not being very well enclosed and the hot tub maintenance. We did not feel comfortable allowing our dog out in the garden without a lead.

Overall we had a pleasant stay at the Cabin. It was a spacious, comfortable, warm accommodation with comfy beds and a lovely bathroom. We felt it lacked a few kitchen items for a week's stay, which we ended up purchasing ourselves kitchen scissors, a corkscrew, a cafetiere and some plastic glasses. It has loads of wardrobe space but unusually no hangers in any of the rooms. The hot tub was nice and hot but unfortunately we felt could be maintained better in our opinion. Also, it was unusable for our last night as for some reason the water temperature dropped too low. Someone had coincidentally come on the site that day looking for a fuse box outside? We didn't experience a particular lack of water pressure as previous reviewers but the whole supply was unexpectedly cut off for about an hour at one point by workers without giving us notice. Still a nice, comfortable place to stay.

We have just got back from a long weekend at this lovely place. The accommodation is so comfortable and homely and so well equipped. If I was to pick any downside it would be that the garden isnt secure for small dogs, particularly a Yorkshire Terrier! Other than that, its in a great location with easy access to lots of locations. Wed be happy to go again

Absolutely stunning cabin, my partner and I fell in love with it. Very clean on arrival. Comfortable & peaceful. The hottub was amazing and easy to use. We didnt have any problems till the last day, the shower and bath didnt work due to not much water coming out. But friday and saturday they worked so it wasnt a major issue. Dalby forrest is just 20 mims away from the cabin, that was the most beautiful forrest we've ever been too, also the village was only 5 mins away by car. That is lovely and people are so welcoming. We are most definitely going to stay at the cabin again next year.

Lovely cabin, shame about water problems, but owner was very helpful, biggest problem was the over hanging oak tree and all the acorns falling onto the tin roof night and day!

We were impressed by the neat layout of the site and the quality of the accommodation. Each property having it's own private area. The jacuzzi was amazing. The water pressure was sometimes too low. The location was very good for visits to Whitby, Scarborough and York.

Start off by saying its a beautiful cabin. .the bad bit there was very low water pressure the first day second day no water at all for most of the day.none of us could shower all weekend had a 15 minute drive Sunday morning to buy water so we could have a drink

The cabin was just amazing . .it was spotlessly clean and everything you could need was there ..the hot tub was fantastic and easy to use ..it was an ideal location to flamingo land zoo and we will definitely be returning .

Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out. It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys. Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo. Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.

Castle Howard - YO60 7DA

Castle Howard is one of the regions most beautiful and historic landmarks and is located in 1,000 acres of parkland with breathtaking gardens to explore. As well as exploring the castle visitors can enjoy attractios including the unique Land Train - the best way to see the entire park. There is also a large lake offering boat trips during the summer months. In high season the site is very popular with families and offers organised activities for children including tours, talks, crafting and animal encounters. The site also has a Nature Trail which is fun for the whole family and an Adventure Playground where children can run off some energy.

Yorkshire Lavender is an amazing award winning attraction offering breathtaking panoramic views of York, a Café, Plant Nursery and Lavender Gardens. The 60 acre site is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is an excellent choice for a day trip. The onsite shops sells Lavender products such as bath and body treats, skincare, medicine and herbal remedies.

Betton Farm Visitor Centre - TF9 3PS

Betton Farm Visitor Centre is the ideal attraction close to the North Yorkshire coastal town of Scarborough. This animal farm has all the cute farm animals you would expect to see and will appeal to younger children especially. A great place to both play and learn we think the Betton Farm Visitor centre is great value for money. Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs. Some of the highlights of the day might include meeting Sofie the Shetland Pony and Henry the goat, as well as the pot bellied pigs called Porky and Hammy.

The Grainary Wildlife Farm - YO25 3HS

about 13 Miles

Located in Harwood Dale Village, North Yorkshire we think this attraction makes a superb family day out and couples will also enjoy the nature walks in the area. There are 6 nature walks in total surrounding the farm so walkers and lovers of the outdoors will be in their element. Some of our favourite walks include the Spring Flowers, Pond and Village walk which takes around 35 minutes, and the Meadow and Trees walk which takes one hour.

Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP

If you are enjoying a lodge break in the Yorkshire Moors and Coast then a day trip to the Scarborough Sea Life and Marine Sanctuary highly recommended. This centre is one of the regions most popular attractions and is educational as well as fun. Visitors will enjoy a journey beneath the waves, meeting many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep. As well as mighty sharks and beautiful rays guests can get up close to some more common creatures including star fish and can also meet the otters, seals and penguins at feeding time. The site also has children's play area and picnic tables as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. Family tickets cost £46.80 but the Tourist Information Centres in Scarborough, Whitby or Filey often offer fantastic discounts.

Sea Life Marine Sanctuary - YO12 6RP

Located in the Scalby Mills area of Scarborough this makes a fun family day out for those who are interested in marine life. The fantastic ocean tank is well worth seeing - it's been transformed into a Turtle Reef and you can see an amazing array of colourful reef fish and coral. You may also catch a glimpse of the tropical sharks and turtles. Offering good value for money this is a day out with a difference and an all weather attraction.

Peasholm Park - YO12 6QQ

This attraction is ideal for sunny days as the beautiful park is ideal for wandering out and taking in the scenery. You can hire boats including rowing boats and canoes to enjoy the views from the water. The pedalos with the dragon heads are always a popular choice too. Look out for special events including the Battle of Peasholm Park Naval Battle which has been described as a "must see". You can also take a ride on the North Bay Railway which will delight children.
