The Wee Spruce Reviews

Rose
We had a wonderful week at the Wee Spruce. Cosy, warm, well-equipped and in walking distance from Aberlour, Ben Rinnes and the fantastic GlenAllachie distillery down the road. Lots of things to do and visit in the area, and plenty of dog friendly options. Maggie and Steve were incredibly welcoming and helpful, but also gave us privacy. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic place. The hot tub was already pre-heated which we didn't expect and was a nice surprise. Lovely miniature whisky bottles as a welcome gift - we grabbed a bottle on the way back at the nearby distillery :) There were also bathrobes and disposable slippers in the bathroom, came in handy for the hot tub. Overall a very well equipped and comfortable place. I've had the best night's sleep in ages, with only tawny owls to be heard outside :) Hoping to come back.

Great little Cabin. Nice secluded location. Nice hot tub and BBQ hut. Nice waterfall nearby. Highly recommended.
Catherine
Great quirky lodge. Good hosts, respecting privacy but on hand when needed. Limited storage so recommend taking only essential clothes. Fab hot tub and outdoor bbq - both used a lot. Our dog was very happy in the very well enclosed garden.
Diane
Amazing place to stay, well equipped with everything you need, great location to enjoy the surrounding area with many whisky distillers.
Irene
Not dog friendly as they are not allowed to run freely in the enclosed area! We were told by Steve the owner seconds after arriving not to let the dogs on the gravel, as it stains it! Also the owners house is right next to the lodge which doesnâ??t show in any photos. We thought we would have complete privacy. It felt like Big Brother. Wasted our week and a big birthday celebration!
Lesley
Was very cosy and comfortable. Lots of nice walks and outdoor bbq and hot tub were great.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at the Wee Spruce. It was a cost and comfortable base for walks up Ben Rinnes and around the Spey. The hot tub was excellent for relaxing post-hike!

Our experience at the Wee Spruce was outstanding. Steve and Maggie provided us with valuable information and guidance while also respecting our privacy. The cabin included an information pack filled with details about local walks, attractions, dining options, and more. It is just a 10-minute drive to the starting point of Ben Rinnes (a Corbett), which our dog thoroughly enjoyed. Additionally, there is a pleasant walk to the Linn Falls, as mentioned in the information pack, that is easily accessible on foot. A thoughtful addition was the log-burning starter kit, along with two small bottles of Glen Allachie Whisky.
Kevin
Very pleasant couple gave us plenty of information about the surroundings, were to walk you dog,and the local amenities, would definitely go back for a longer stay

We had a lovely week, hosts were very friendly

Me and my girlfriend have been to a few cabins and this is one of the best ones we have been to. The hot tub has amazing view of the highland hills and the night sky. The owners are really nice and incredibly welcoming and helpful. We were told that we were the first ever guests at the cabin so we went in expecting a few things to not be fully sorted out yet. But considering that, we had no real complaints. There was no sharp knifes and no shampoo or body wash but a quick drive to shop and thatâ??s sorted. It is definitely one of our favourite cabins we have ever been to and we would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it.

Landmark Theme Park - IV31 6SS
about 24 Miles
Landmark Theme Park is a popular family attraction in Scotland and is a great choice for those with children of varied ages. The site is packed with attractions to keep the whole family amused. Landmark is rather unique as a theme park as it is based around nature. Activities include Tree Topping and Rock climbing although there are also some more traditional theme park rides such as a log flume. The park is abundant with nature including Red Squirrels and Clydesdale Horses and there is also a new Pinewood Grill for tasty snacks and a Gift Shop.
