The house is lovely and very spacious, even nicer than it looks in the photos. Hot tub and secure garden for the dog make it one of the very best we've stayed at we've been twice now, and little touches like the welcome pack and books and games make it very welcoming. Thoroughly recommend.

Bedrooms are spacious and decorated perfectly, lovely views from upstairs ones. Top hallway is great place to sit comfortably, read, play etc. outdoor has everything you need, hot tub cleaned daily, well positioned. Owners are very respectful of the holiday home spacehot tub. Great basket of logs, starter pack etc, delicious welcome pack with lovely flowers on table, bonus! Definitely impressed and would recommend.

Beautiful property with everything you needed and more. A true home from home!
We had an amazing stay! The hot tub was a real highlight, perfect for relaxing while enjoying the beautiful views. The farm setting was peaceful and charming, offering a unique and refreshing experience. The place was clean, cozy, and well equipped, and the host was friendly and responsive. Truly a wonderful getaway we would absolutely love to come back and highly recommend it!
Booked here as we were attending our aunt & uncles internment of ashes in Dundee found it to be a lot better than we anticipated. Only 30 minutes from Dundee so bonus for us. David & Elaine were accommodating from start to finish any queries we had were answered immediately couldnt ask for better hosts. The house was amazing ,spacious and bigger than we thought even our family from Dundee who came to visit were amazed at what a lovely property it was. The welcome hamper and dog treats were a lovely added bonus the only regret we had was that we wished we could have stayed longer. But we will definitely return!!
Natalie
This is the second time we have stayed. Hosts were very accommodating. Highchair and travel cot were available for us. The farmhouse has all amenities you require. Hot tub is a lovely addition, the views are outstanding. Very peaceful and just what we needed for a relaxing time away. The farmhouse is also pet friendly allowing us to take our dog, it has an enclosed garden for pet security.
This was our second stay at the Whitehouse and once again could not fault anything. The house is absolutely stunning and the welcome basket and dog treats were very much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again one day.
Pamela
Lovely modern house arrived to a lovely welcome basket. We stayed here for my 60th and it did not disappoint. Hot tub was well used and cooked in the house both days. Views and walks from the house with our dog was great. Not far to venture out to places like Brechin and Forfar and further a field.
Lovely property. Had the best day ever. We used to go for walks in the day with both dogs and come back to use the hot tub. Didn't realise there was a bedroom and bathroom downstairs, so didn't use upstairs. But the house is lovely, cozy and warm. Used the fireplace too most nights. No issues staying here and would love to come back. The short path off the main road is a little bumpy but worth it!
An amazing cottage which has everything you could need whilst on holiday. The location is great with stunning views from the cottage and hot tub. Enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and great walks from the door. Loads to do in surrounding area and we will be back.
Christine
An absolutely beautiful property. Immaculate in every way. So many little extras to make the holiday perfect. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The property was stunning. Very homely and welcoming, beautifully decorated and gorgeous scenery. The location is great not far from the nearest towns and a good distance from Dundee and Aberdeen if you wanted to venture into the city. The hot tub was thoroughly enjoyed by the adults and children, and the dogs loved the peaceful walking areas surrounding the property. My competitive husband especially liked the barn with table tennis and my 6 year old son spent most of the time we were in the house playing in the gameslibrary nook which was a lovely touch. 1010 would recommend staying here for a break. David and Elaine were great hosts, thank you for having us
Deanie
The property exceeded our expectations, frankly the photos in the listing didnt do it justice. Arriving cold and tired after a tough round of golf was incredible. The home was bright and warm and the hot rib was an absolute joy. The welcome basket was an incredibly thoughtful touch, the local information and recommendations we really helpful. The only disappointment was that we only booked 2 nights. We look forward to visiting this amazing property again
Vivika
This cottage really is as beautiful as it looks. Only thing I would change is how long we stayed should have been longer. Loads to do nearby beaches, mountains, historic houses but the house is perfect if the Scottish weather makes outdoor activities less appealing.
Kathryn
We were there for Christmas and the owners had put up a Christmas tree for us arriving which was a nice touch. The cottage was amazing, clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The views from the cottage were beautiful and made the hot tub even more enjoyable. We would not hesitate in going back. The communication from the owners was also excellent. Everything was perfect for a relaxing Christmas week!
Hilary
The house is beautiful quality furnishings, comfy beds, tasteful decor. We loved the fire and the real Christmas tree, oh and the hamper thank you! The kitchen has everything you need, even baking equipment. We felt at home, and the dogs were made to feel welcome too. The weather was wild while we were there in December, but had it been a bit milder we would have enjoyed the garden more, which is lovely. Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying here and were already talking about when well go back. A beautiful house which has everything you could possibly need. Really clean, lovely and warm, amazing views and lots of things to do nearby. Thank you for a great week!
Melanie
This was probably one of the best cottages we've stayed in. It was spacious inside and out. The views were stunning, the location was handy to nearby towns and villages and not too far from Dundee. David & Elaine were very welcoming and went the extra mile with the welcoming hamper and pooch extras. The facilities are great and as a family we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely book again. 1010

House is absolutely stunning and much bigger than the photos portray online. Finished to a very high standard and was perfect for my family and our dogs. Has everything you need for cookingbaking. The library with books games jigsaws is great. Bed linen is lovely and perfect fluffy towels. David was extremely responsive and accommodating. Absolutely no complaints or tips stayed in a lot of cottages over the years and this is by far the best of the bunch. David and Elaine have thought of everything for a perfect stay for the hoomans and furbabies. We will be back
Nicholas
Lovely house with high spec features and furnishing. Possibly even more spacious than it appeared from the photos, and definitely a place we would love to return to. Owners great in terms of providing directions, local recommendations and info and flexibility.
Nicola
We had a fantastic week staying at whitehouse woodwrae. The house is large & spacious with plenty of room for 6 without being on top of each other. Beds are very comfortable best we've slept on being away from home. Cooking facilities are home from home had everything in the kitchen to make meals. The whole house was clean & welcoming with a goody basket on arrival for us & our dogs who loved the outside garden. Hot tub is a great bonus after a day of exploring the area. We will definitely be back.
Charlotte
Great well appointed property with absolutely everything you need. Very high spec for everything comfy beds and great bath and showers. Really helped having the boot room too. The views are gorgeous including all the birds and other wildlife. Lots of great places to visit locally without having to go too far afield. Great having owners next door they were there if we needed them. Very responsive to messages. Thoroughly recommend this property you absolutely wouldn't be disappointed. Could have spent the whole holiday looking out at the Glens, the animals with just an occasional dip in the hot tub.
Our stay at Woodwrae, Whitehouse was absolutely fantastic. The house is spacious, well thought out, comfortable and has everything thought of. The views from the hot tub and the front windows are amongst the best we've ever had, even witnessed deer running through the fields on a couple of occasions. It's safe to say that the place stole our hearts, and we will definitely be back again, the hosts David & Elaine are lovely people, very approachable and nothing is too much trouble. Overall 10 out of 10!
Beautiful property on a quiet farm. Views were wonderful, saw some red kites and swallows every day. Hot tub was amazing too and we spent a few evenings watching shooting stars from it. House is a great size with lots of space, beds were incredibly comfortable. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the house to make it perfect.
Nichola
We absolutely loved our 2 week stay at Woodrae. The cottage itself has everything you need to be kept more than comfortable. The views from the decking are beautiful. The photos on the website do not do the place justice though as the property is much bigger than it looks! We simply loved it and didnt want to go home. The hosts made it clear that should we need anything then all we had to do was ask. They left us to our own devices whilst checking that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The whole stay was absolutely perfect. 1010 for the property and the hosts!
Debbie
House and facilities were perfect. The property is homely and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. Every single thing you could need as everything had been thought of by the owners. Perfect relaxing stay and we couldnt have asked for anymore. Would definitely stay again
Amazing house and setting. Comfortable house and hot tub. Everything we needed for our stay

Only slight improvement Id like to see is to improve road to the house, quite a lot of bumps and loose stones other than that the place is perfect, would definitely look to book again, so peaceful and really well appointed with some really thoughtful touches, highly recommended
Had a fantastic time, view's amazing! Welcome pack was lovely and information pack was spot on. Thank you for a lovely week very relaxing! Arwyn and family, plus Henry
Amazing luxurious property. Everything was thought out and fully provided, the views were stunning especially in the hot tub and it was the perfect base camp for any adventures we went on. We looked forward to getting back there in the evenings after a long day to just relax with the views and the fire. David & Elaine were fantastic hosts and made sure we didn't need for anything. Highly recommended.
Cheryl
This is a really beautiful property and David and Elaine couldnt have been more helpful and hospitable. The garden is completely enclosed so was perfect for the dog. The welcome pack was very generous and the hot tub pure joy. Anyone going to this property will be delighted at the size of the house and quality of the furnishings and general interior. I cant recommend it highly enough. It is the best Sykes property we have ever visited.

Booked as a family holiday with daughter, soninlaw and two grandchildren 3 year old & 4 months old. The house was definitely a home from home with everything thought of including washing tablets, kitchen roll, tea towels plastic glassware handy when outside near the hot. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and scrumptious. All the bedrooms were cosy with luxurious bedding and towels. Great space upstairs with the sofas and book corner. The open plan living room was great with an amazing view, private and peaceful garden. The 3 year old loved seeing the farmer in front of the house on his tractor and the lambs behind on the hill. The surrounding area is great for nature walks and just beautiful countryside scenery. Overall a great relaxing time away with the family. We will definitely book again!
Absolutely Amazing, we would highly recommend this holiday home, everything was first class and the Owners were informative and extremely helpful. The little personal touches added an extra bonus on top of an already awesome getaway. So many areas of this home was fantastic and well thought out, little nooks for chilling, librarygames area that we loved. Views from every room across open fields. Fully secured Garden for dogs and children, and bonus a HOT TUB! This house has everything to make your stay easy, warm and comfortable, We even did Our washing and got it dried on the Washing Line provided which meant no chores when we got home, just unpacked and that was it. Lovely welcome package on arrival from the owners Elaine and David who recommended some lovely days out and couldn't be more helpful. Already looking at dates to book our next stay, can't wait to come back!
An absolute hidden gem! really gives you the feel of Scotland in the highlands. we arrived very late at night and the owner popped out to see us and make sure we were ok. heating was on which was an added bonus. the owners left a welcome basket of goodies and a welcome note. the place is very spacious and very modern, hot tub with amazing scenery and very comfy beds. 5 min drive to local town with amenities. had sunday dinner at Drovers arms, which was amazing, worth the prices! 30min drive to local beaches, we went to montrose and had a great park for kids, right opposite the beach. we will definitely be coming back.

So much more than a garden centre this place is ideal for a fun family day out in Angus. The garden centre stocks a huge range of plants, outdoor furniture and gardening equipment and also has a café serving tasty home made meals, cakes and snacks. The site has a large outdoor play area for children an ornamental pond and country park to explore. Halloween and Bonfire night's events are coming up soon. The annual Fireworks Display is really spectacular.
