Our stay at the Writers Retreat was truly lovely. The scenery was stunning, especially the peaceful view over the Loch. We enjoyed exploring the nearby walks and felt really welcomed by Elizabeth and Mhirie. The quiet atmosphere made all the difference. We definitely plan to come back sometime soon. Ohand the Tea Room next door is a must-visit, for sure!

We arrived around 4 pm and were warmly greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our place. The location was breathtaking - right beside a river at the end of Loch Ewe. We even spotted an otter and a seal on our first night! Despite the rain most days, the locals said it's unusual for this time of year. We went out almost daily and caught some drier weather. The cottage was really cosyand the hot tub was a big highlight. Definitely recommend checking out Poole House, the Russian Convoy Museumand the WW2 sites nearby. Great boat rides too, really enjoyed our stay!
Mark

We loved the cosy, quirky kitchen that grew on us quickly. The cottage was super comfy overall. Our best moment was sitting outside, watching wildlife at Loch Ewe with a cuppa or a glass of wine. Saw plenty of birds and even an otter-such a treat! Definitely a lovely stay.
