Thank you for a beautiful stay. Pros location, location, location! Amazing to be right at the start of 7Stanes bike trails. Cosy vibes with plenty of amenities within the cottage was is nice. Loved the little upstairs bath super cute! Cons I have had to rate it slightly lower due to the cost of it compared to others we have stayed at and the fact that many things werent working light switches, the electric fire. Some things werent very clean either, blankets on the sofa were covered in different dog hairs, dont mind dogs at all as we have one but most other dog friendly cottages they are cleaned the cooker light was full of grease as well. However, the bathrooms were spotless
Absolutely stunning place and the lodge was amazing with the hot tub. We stayed there over Christmas 2025 and enjoyed it so much we booked an extra 2 night while there.

A very comfortable and well equipped lodge in a great location. Peaceful yet all amenities are just a short drive or walk away. My dog was in heaven and reluctant to go home as was i!
Absolutely lovely area and place to stay. Glenisle is extremely comfortable and welcoming. I brought equipment with me to use which was not needed as I did not expect to have as many items to use. Which I am extremely thankful for. When I want another break will keep Glenisle in mind Thank you for such a homely place
Good location, very relaxing, will go again

This is a lovely comfortable lodge, very cosy and with great access to local walks. Added bonus of being pet friendly, the kids loved the hot tub, which is a decent size. They also loved the WiFi!
Had a lovely time, very peaceful and tranquil setting. The dogs loved it and we were very lucky with the weather too. We love the option of either woodland walking or the beach.
This lodge is a real gem, cosy and warm when we stayed in February with luxurious touches like robes and slippers. It's in a great location, next to the beautiful Dalbeattie Forest and only 5 minutes by car to town with everything you need, a small supermarket, tea rooms, takeaways and a weird and wonderful museum. 10 minutes to the beach and Galloway Forest Park is easily reached by car. My boys loved bubbling in the hot tub looking at the stars. We had the perfect holiday and would 100 return to stay in this lovely, well equipped lodge

Excellent property Had problems with the boiler and hot tub but this did not detract from the enjoyment of our holiday. Excellent communication with the lovely lady Yvonne. Not so good with the manager of the property for various reasons Brilliant walks available from the doorstep.
Glenisle is a hidden Jem set on the edge of Dalbeattie woods Yvonne and Gillian ... Glenisle is a hidden Jem set on the edge of Dalbeattie woods Yvonne and Gillian were a great help when we first arrived the cottage has everything that you would need clean and comfortable and the hot tub is a added bonus after exploring the local areas would definitely go back there
We all loved it here, particularly our cocker spaniel who thoroughly enjoyed exploring the space around the lodge & all the lovely walks in the vicinity. The lodge is in a lovely peaceful location with Dalbeattie Forest on the doorstep, and just a short drive to other stunning places for walks on beaches and in the woods. The lodge itself was warm and very comfortable, and had everything that we needed for our stay. We particularly appreciated the little luxuries like the soft fluffy bath towels, robe & slippers. The towels & bed linen smelled lovely and fresh, and the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub was a huge bonus! We would absolutely recommend this lodge and would love to return here.
