Set on a working farm just 6 miles from Dumfries, this stylish family hideaway offers a true taste of rural Dumfries and Galloway, with Belted Galloways grazing beyond the window and plenty of days out within easy reach. Dumfries is 6 miles away and delivers a fascinating browse through its prehistoric exhibits, a Camera Obscura, and a great selection of shopping and dining.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love the number of hiking, walking, and cycling trails in the area, including the breathtaking 40-mile stretch of sandy beaches and salt marshes along the Solway Coast. If you're a keen historian, Drumlanrig Castle and Caerlaverock Estate are both within 15 miles away, while the little ones are sure to love the safari-style walks and soft play at Dino Park at Hetland (12 miles).

Step inside your modern retreat and you’ll be greeted by an inviting hallway, before entering the lounge/kitchen/diner. Take a moment and appreciate your surroundings through the picture window as you settle on the L-shaped sofa with a cup of tea.

When it’s time to eat, the left side of the room has a stylish kitchen area with appliances aplenty. And when your dinner is ready, the two-seat breakfast bar and four-seat dining table give you plenty of space to sit down and enjoy it together.

At bedtime, drift off in one of the two contemporary bedrooms, a generous double and a lovely twin. A smart shower room with a shower and WC finishes the interior.

Outside, the cottage has an enclosed garden with dining furniture and a hot tub for soaking while drinking in the uninterrupted country views. Private parking is provided for two cars.
