Visit Drumlanrig Castle & Gardens (4 miles) for a family-friendly day out exploring the grand house and estate, or venture to Wanlockhead (18 miles), Scotland’s highest village and home to the fascinating Lead Mining Museum.

A trip to Dumfries (16 miles) offers the chance to discover the life and legacy of Scotland’s national bard, Robert Burns, while exploring the town’s galleries, museums, and attractive streets. Blending modern comfort with traditional farmhouse style, this beautifully renovated two-storey property has been finished to an exceptionally high standard.

Step through the entrance hall into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where comfortable seating is arranged around a TV and a spacious dining area invites everyone to gather. The compact yet well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing delicious meals using local produce from Thornhill’s butchers and bakery.

A bedroom and bathroom can be found on each floor, providing added privacy for guests. On the ground floor, there is a super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom alongside a full family bathroom, while upstairs you’ll find a second super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom with an invigorating en-suite shower room.
