During your break, you can visit surrounding seaside towns like St Ives, where a wide choice of galleries, restaurants and shops awaits. Step inside and find yourself in a bright, neutral-toned lounge/kitchen/diner with contemporary-chic decor and natural light pouring through two glass patio doors.

In the lounge space are two plump sofas and an armchair beside the Smart TV and wood burner. Continue past the wooden and white dining table to reach a sleek white kitchen.

On the peninsula of this ‘U’-shaped fitted unit with glossy cabinets and countertops is a breakfast bar with two stalls. Climb the stairs to find a family bathroom and four bedrooms – two zip-and-link twin rooms, one king-size room and an en-suite super-king-size with a private balcony with seating.

Outside is a garden with outdoor furniture and a hot tub on the decked area. There is private parking for two cars, while on-site facilities include a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym.

While staying on the fringes of Carbis Bay, you can wander into the village centre to find a handful of pubs, shops, and an art gallery (within 0.5 miles). Take a picnic to the golden, sandy shores of Carbis Bay (0.5 miles) and hit the South West Coast Path to St Ives (2 miles).

Here you can visit the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum or hire surfboards at Porthmeor Beach. IMPORTANT NOTE: The leisure facilities of Una St Ives are a separate entity to the lodges and as such we are unable to take responsibility for any closures or curtailment in services.

Paradise Park first opened its doors in Cornwall in 1973 and has been one of the regions top attractions ever since. What was once just a tropical bird garden is now a refuge for many different species of animal and aims to be educational as well as fun for its visitors. The inhabitants include some typical UK creatures including Otters, and Red Squirrels as well as some more unusual and rare animals including Red Pandas. Younger children will enjoy meeting the friendly animals in the farm area. The site has recently been extended and now also has a fantastic Jungle Barn where kids can let of steam.    
The Rock Gardens, Caves and Nursery - TQ5 9HG

The Rock Gardens Caves and Nursery have an amazing setting in the old Palace Quarry. The gardens offer an abundance of trees, plants and floral displays including a very grand 80ft Elm Tree and a stunning Weeping Ash. The site also offers a large carp pond, a breathtaking illuminated cave and a tea room serving tasty local produce.

A fantastic attraction with something for everyone.  Combining rides, activities and exhibitions it's all here in the one place. Look out for seasonal events too such as the Fire in the Sky event on 27th October 2010 - discount advance tickets are available for most of the events so don't forget to check out their website.  Some of the most popular thrill rides include the first Twisting Droptower in the UK called the Skyraker 001.  The Hornert Rollercoaster is also not to be missed.

The award winning Newquay Zoo makes a fun family day out in North Cornwall.  With over 130 different species of animals to see and plenty of fun activities for the kids this attraction is ideal.  Recent additions to the zoo include the African Savanna and the Madagascan Walkthrough exhibit.  Kids will love the play area, face painting, tarzan trail and animal encounters.  Different events tale place throughout the year such as the Halloween Zoo Boo family fun event on 31st October.
Dairyland Farm World - TR8 5AA

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.

If the weather is good then children can take advantage of the vast open space to run around and play, enjoy pony rides, train rides, trampolines and Go-Karts and explore the nature trails. If the weather is not on your side then the huge play barn is the place to head and as climbing frames, slides, ball pool and rope swings as well as a baby and toddler area.
