Perched on a shrub-covered hillside overlooking Whitsand Bay, this cute and characterful couple’s hideaway will effortlessly bring a splash of romance to your Cornish escape. Bring your canine companion along to explore Cornwall’s dramatic coastal trails, beaches and pretty towns.
With a quirky green and yellow exterior, an English country garden with a hot tub, and cosy cottage interiors, you’re sure to have an unforgettable holiday. Step inside and find yourself in the white-washed open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with coastal-themed stained-glass windows and a pop of colour from the yellow and blue furnishings.
Move past the neutral-toned, ‘L’-shaped kitchen and your attention will be drawn to the sea views through two sets of glass doors opening onto the garden. A circular dining table with four chairs sits adjacent to the lounge space with a yellow velvet sofa and footstool.
Here you can warm your toes in front of the wood burner in an inglenook fireplace while reading something from the bookshelves. The king-size bedroom is decorated in blue and white with an elegant seashell headboard.
Completing the interior is a subtly retro bathroom with a walk-in shower and a roll-top bath. Outside is an enclosed lawned garden with a hot tub and furniture beside a summerhouse.
Nearby on-street or permit parking is available. During your stay in Whitsand Bay, you’ll be just 200 metres from the soft and sandy Tregonhawke Beach.
After a dip, grab a pick-me-up from the local cafe or restaurant (both within 0.5 miles) or wander through the Withnoe hiking area (0.5 miles). Explore the Rame Head Heritage Coast Nature Reserve which stretches from Wiggle Cliff (1 mile) to Cremyll village (4 miles) where you can catch a ferry to Plymouth.
