Monterey Lodge Reviews

Great vibe, comfy space
Emily Carter
We had a wonderful stay in this cosy cabin, nestled in such a peaceful, secluded spot. The weather was perfect, which made relaxing outside even better. Watching the stars from the deck and soaking in the hot tub was lovely. Just a heads up, the deck and garden aren’t fully dog-proof, so you'll need long leads if you want them to enjoy the outdoors safely. Overall, we’d definitely recommend it for anyone needing a quiet getaway. Thanks for a great break!
Harriet
We stayed at this place and found it quite remote, maybe a bit too much for us. The lodge was well-stocked with bedding and towels, which was handyand the kitchen had everything we needed. Wi-Fi mostly worked fine, which was a relief. There were six of us - four adults, a kidand a baby - and it felt a tad cosy, especially with the weather playing up, so outdoor space was a bit wasted. We couldn’t find the designated dog walking areas, which was a bit of a letdown. Still, it was a nice break, just a bit secluded for our liking!
James
The lodge was super cosy and private, with all the facilities you could need. However, the outside space and decking need some TLC because they look a bit tired. Be ready for narrow lanes when you drive inand finding the walks can be tricky since they’re quite overgrown. Still, we enjoyed it!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay. The peaceful vibe was just what we neededand the hot tub was a lovely touch. The village pub served some top-notch foodand the chip shop was spot on. Can’t wait to come back! The beaches and towns nearby are gorgeous.

Really enjoyed our stay! The lodge was cosy, well-stockedand in a great spot for exploring.
Oliver Smith
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is lovelyand it’s quite peaceful, especially when neighbouring cabins are empty. The place feels a bit old-fashioned but is super comfy. We appreciated the relaxed check-in process with the keys in the safe, no constant owner checks. If you’re into bird watching, this spot is perfect! Overall, good value for money and a nice break away.

Lovely stay, would definitely recommend it!
Emma
Fantastic spot, really peacefuland the cottage was charming. Can't wait to return!
Emma
Really enjoyed our weekend here, the lodge was peaceful and cosy. The hot tub was fantastic, though finding nearby dog walks was a bit tricky.
Emma
We loved the peaceful vibe and cosy lodge-felt just like home! Perfect base for exploring Devon and Cornwall’s stunning coastlines. Gorgeous area, definitely coming back soon!
Emma
We loved the peaceful setting, perfect for relaxing away from the hustle. The veranda was charming, surrounded by trees. Inside was spacious with super comfy beds. The hot tub was fantasticand our son really enjoyed the BBQ too!
Alex
Really loved the spot, quiet and full of wildlife right outside. Definitely worth the trip, even if a bit remote.
Emma
This place in Devon is a real hidden treasure. Everything was spotless and comfy, with all the essentials. Watching the wildlife every day was so special. The hot tub was fantastic too. Definitely a top spot, we’d come back in a heartbeat!
Alex Morgan
We had a lovely stay at the lodge, super clean and really remote - exactly what we needed to escape the hustle. The kids were thrilled spotting dragons and reptiles in the gardenand they enjoyed bouncing on the trampoline and swinging about. The hot tub was already bubbling when we arrived, which was a nice touch. Just a heads up, the decking can be slippery when wet, so watch out. The only downside was the hot water running out on our third day, but overall, it was a great little getaway!
Emma
We stumbled upon this place and honestly, it’s a true good place. If you don’t mind being a bit off the beaten track, you’ll love the peaceful vibe here. Plus, it’s really close to stunning beaches in Devon and Cornwall, which is a bonus. The lodge is well-equipped, with an open-plan kitchen, diningand lounge area, plus a big decking outside. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub on a few evenings - definitely a place we’d come back to!
James
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was a lovely touchand the walks with our dog were so peaceful. The access road isn’t too bad if you drive carefully. We’re definitely planning to return. If you’re after tranquillity, this place is perfect!
Emily Parker
Honestly, we had a lovely stay at this lodge. It’s super peaceful, really cleanand the views are just stunning-especially the stars at night. The dogs had a great time exploring the walks nearby. We loved unwinding in the hot tub after a chilly eveningand the place is so well equipped and comfy, we didn’t want to leave. Be aware though, the access track isn’t great for low cars. Definitely worth checking out local spots like Northam Beach and the Quince Bee Farm!
Emma
We loved the cosy feel of the cabin, it’s super clean and really comfy. The hot tub was a hit with both kids and adultsand watching the local birds and squirrels was a lovely touch. The heating works well and is simple to control. The drive there is a bit tricky with narrow, winding roads, so if you’re nervous on roads, it might be stressful. But honestly, the peace and quiet once you're there is totally worth it!
