For less water sports and more seaside charm, the harbour town of Padstow (1 mile) is famous for its seafood restaurants and winding streets filled with independent boutiques, cafes and galleries. From Padstow Landing, board the small foot ferry and cross the water to discover the more peaceful village of Rock (14 miles by car).
