Swallow Cottage really exceeded our expectations! The views were absolutely stunning and the property had a lovely cosy feel. The hot tub was such a treat - big, spotlessand kept an eye on by Malcolm, who’s genuinely friendly and welcoming. Everything you’d need for a relaxing getaway was there, from the full-size fridge and freezer to the washing machine and air fryer. The beds were super comfy too. Perfect spot for unwinding, we loved it!

Honestly, this place is a good place. The cottage itself is gorgeous, nestled in such a picturesque setting with stunning views all around. We loved waking up to red deer grazing right outside the window-that was a real highlight! Malcolm, the owner, was super friendly and made us feel really welcome. The journey there is a bit winding via satnav, but it’s well worth it. A lovely spot, lovely hostand a truly special stay.

We had another lovely stay at Swallow Cottage. It's such a peaceful spot, perfect if you want to escape the hustle and bustle. Malcolm was as friendly as ever, making sure everything was set up, especially the hot tub which we love. The location is ideal-close to Exmoor and gorgeous beaches, yet still tucked away enough to relax. It’s our second visitand honestly, we’re already planning to come back again. Can’t recommend it enough for a chilled getaway!

We loved the peaceful rural vibeand the host was super helpful without being intrusive. The cottage was spotlessand the beds were really comfy-especially the double. The single bed was a bit creaky but still fine. The kitchen had everything we needed and was very clean. The shower was greatand Wi-Fi surprisingly good for such a remote spot. The hot tub was a highlightand we enjoyed birdwatching. A sun umbrella would’ve been handy in the sunny garden. Definitely recommend!

North Devon Farm Park is a haven for wildlife and has a fantastic location making it the perfect place for a day out during the summertime. As well as gorgeous scenery, picnic areas and plenty of space for children to play the park offers a Play Area, Tea Room serving local produce, a Petting Zoo where little ones will love meeting the affectionate animals and Nature tTails. There is also a Play Area.
Exmoor Zoo - EX31 4SG

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
The Donkey Sanctuary - EX10 0NU

The Donkey Sanctuary is a working refuge for rescued Donkeys but is also a popular place for a day trip in South Devon. The site will appeal to animal lovers of all ages and gives visitors the chance to meet some of the friendly animals and also learn about the work done at the sanctuary. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - EX34 0NG

During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.

This popular adventure park is full of thrills and excitement as well as having loads for younger children to take part in as well. The best theme park rides include the Tidal Wave log flume and Maximus the rollercoaster.  Other fantastic rides include the the New Vortex Watercoaster ride and the Queen Bess pirate ship.  Indoor fun is plentiful too with the Adventure Zone, the Magical Kingdom and Dina's Lost World.
