About The Gem

The property is just 300 metres from the heart of the village, where you’ll find traditional pubs and cute cafes. Enjoy family days out to The Big Sheep (4 miles) or The Milky Way Adventure Park (11 miles), or perhaps join a wildlife watching excursion to Lundy Island.

The stunning coastal retreat has a reverse-level layout and is decorated in a contemporary style, with neutral paintwork, wooden floorboards, and plush furniture. A beautiful collection of artwork and accessories create a home-away-from-home vibe.

On the ground floor, you’ll find four gorgeous bedrooms, two of which have en-suite shower rooms. The king-size bedroom also benefits from direct access to the patio area and hot tub.

There’s a stylish family shower room on this level, as well as a handy utility area. From the ground floor, you’ll have access to the games room in the garage.

Upstairs, an impressive, open-plan living space awaits, with large windows allowing glimpses of the river, and a roaring wood burner. Relax here on the comfortable seating as you catch up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV.

Rustle up hearty meals for the group in the kitchen area, which you can share at the breakfast bar or around the dining table. In summer months, open the French doors to the balcony for indoor/outdoor living.

A super-king-size bedroom with an en-suite wet room completes this floor. Along with the balcony, which has sun loungers and river views, the property also has a patio area at the front of the house with outdoor seating and a hot tub.

The Milky Way Adventure Park is a fun day out for the whole family and has rides and attractions for all ages. There are four major rides including a thrilling roller coaster and an amazing vertical slide for the older kids and grown ups and six fascinating live shows which will entertain the whole family. During your visit you can enjoy bird of prey experiences, find your way out of the maze and feed and cuddle the baby animals.
North Devon Farm Park - EX32 7ET

North Devon Farm Park is a haven for wildlife and has a fantastic location making it the perfect place for a day out during the summertime. As well as gorgeous scenery, picnic areas and plenty of space for children to play the park offers a Play Area, Tea Room serving local produce, a Petting Zoo where little ones will love meeting the affectionate animals and Nature tTails. There is also a Play Area.
Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - EX34 0NG

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park  is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.
Exmoor Zoo - EX31 4SG

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
Dingles Steam Village - EX14 0RS

Dingles Steam Village is an all weather attraction crammed with activities for the whole family to enjoy. The site has a wonderful Café serving home cooked meals, a fun Soft Play Area for younger children, an Agility Course for older kids and several Nature Trails for the family to explore together.
