About The Old Farmhouse

Set within its own 34 acres of unspoilt countryside, including two secure fields for off-lead adventures as well as fantastic woodland walks right from your doorstep, there’s plenty to explore. Nearby Polperro and Looe (4 miles) are picturesque fishing villages, each with its own harbour and beach.

There are plenty of opportunities to indulge in water-based activities with diving and snorkelling sites along the coast, as well as excellent coves to explore whilst paddleboarding. For a little more adventure, Adrenaline Quarry (9 miles) offers an exciting day out.

Further afield, The Eden Project (16 miles) hosts numerous events throughout the year and makes for a great day or night out for all age groups. Inside, the stunning entrance hall sets the standard right away with its beautiful flagstone flooring with underfloor heating throughout, giving that welcoming feel.

Opening into the lounge, this comfortable haven, with its large sofas and feature fireplace/wood burner, is the cosiest spot to settle down and watch a movie on the Smart TV. Next door, the kitchen is equally impressive; with its dominating range cooker and marble work surfaces, it offers everything you would need to prepare an incredible meal or hearty breakfast for the family.

The grand dining space sits at the end of the kitchen and boasts a huge table and chairs next to the second wood burner, a great sociable space for all the family. Large French doors invite you outside to the garden.

Off the dining area, through a short hallway, is the downstairs WC and utility room with additional access out to the garden. Upstairs are four bedrooms, the first of which is the master with its super-king-size, four-poster bed, sitting area and wonderful vaulted ceiling and exposed beams.

This attraction is really unique in that you have the opportunity to gain a rare insight into a working sanctuary.  You can see first hand all of the fantastic work carried out as well as seeing the monkeys themselves.  Other popular areas of this attraction include the Bat Cave and Wildlife Room. the Wildlife Gardens and the kids play area.  There is something for everyone at The Monkey Sanctuary and you can also sponsor and donate if you wish.  The cost to adopt a monkey is from just £2 a month.

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).
