About Acorn Lodge

Acorn Lodge is a charming retreat situated near Chudleigh, Devon. With designated off-road parking, this delightful lodge offers an ideal escape for families or friends seeking a serene getaway amidst the picturesque Devonshire countryside.

Upon entering the lodge, you will be greeted by a spacious open-plan living area, complete with a contemporary kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, air fryer, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, ensuring you have everything you need to prepare delightful meals for your group.

The dining area comfortably seats six people, making it the perfect spot for enjoying home-cooked meals or planning the day's adventures. The living area boasts a Smart TV, ideal for relaxing nights after a day of exploring the Devonshire countryside.

On the ground floor, you will also find a twin bedroom, conveniently located next to a shower room with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail, basin, and WC. As you ascend to the first floor, you will discover two additional bedrooms, a double and a twin, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for your group.

These rooms share access to a sleek bathroom, complete with a bath, heated towel rail, basin, and WC, providing a calming space to unwind and refresh. Outside, the lodge features an enclosed decking area, furnished with inviting seating.

Here, you can enjoy the tranquil surroundings, perhaps with a good book or a glass of wine. The highlight of the outdoor space is undoubtedly the hot tub, inviting you to soak your cares away under the stars.

With several sites across the UK, Go Ape aims to bring climbing and swinging fun the masses. The sites attractions include Tree Topping, Cargo Nets, Aerial Swings, Zip Wires and Climbing Walls. Suitable for children over 10 years old. Booking ahead is advised.
Hedgehog Hospital at Prickly Ball Farm - EX20 3TA

If you are looking for a fun family day out with a difference then a visit to the Hedgehog Hospital is a great choice. While visiting the hospital children can learn about these shy wild animals and the dangers they face in the wild as well as how we can help them. The farm is a halfway house for sick hedgehogs and children can meet some of the animals that are almost ready to go back to the wild. The farm also has a gift shop, a coffee shop and a wildlife garden as well as a pet's area with Rabbits and Guinea Pigs.
River Dart Country Park - TQ13 7NP

River Dart Country Park has over 90 acres of woods offering stunning scenic walks, beautiful lakes and open parkland. The park also has a good range of facilities for children including Jungle Ropes, Climbing Frames, Cargo Nets and a wooden Pirate Ship. For younger children there is a toddlers Play Area and a small Beach. During high season supervised activities may include the mega Zip Wire, Canoeing and Rock Climbing.

The site will appeal to animal lovers of all ages and gives visitors the chance to meet some of the friendly animals and also learn about the work done at the sanctuary. This popular adventure park is full of thrills and excitement as well as having loads for younger children to take part in as well. The best theme park rides include the Tidal Wave log flume and Maximus the rollercoaster.  Other fantastic rides include the the New Vortex Watercoaster ride and the Queen Bess pirate ship.  Indoor fun is plentiful too with the Adventure Zone, the Magical Kingdom and Dina's Lost World.
