Hartland Quay (2.5 miles) tempts with dramatic rock formations and a beach at low tide, while Hartland Point and its lighthouse (3 miles) mark the meeting point of the Bristol Channel and the Atlantic. Speke’s Mill Mouth (4 miles) rewards walkers with a waterfall tumbling onto the shore, and kids will love rock pooling at Bucks Mills Beach (9 miles).

Hartland (2 miles) has traditional shops and pubs, and Clovelly (6 miles) enchants with its steep streets and harbour. For family fun, head to The Milky Way Adventure Park (16 miles) for rides and all-weather attractions.

Bude and Crooklets Beach (20-22 miles) also make a fantastic day out. Inside, the property has an upside-down layout over two floors to make the most of the views.

Step into a generous hallway with space for coats and shoes, alongside a handy utility area, before heading upstairs via an impressive staircase. At the top, a peaceful reading nook awaits, plus a king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower.

The showstopping open-plan living area comprises lounge, kitchen and diner, with sweeping ocean views. Gather with coffee around the island and sit down for meals at the long dining table, before sinking into the plush seating to digest.

Downstairs are the five further bedrooms – three with en-suite shower rooms – plus a family bathroom. A dedicated yoga studio with direct outdoor access creates a calming space for meditation or stretching.

Out the front is a patio terrace complete with seating and a private hot tub for long, bubbly soaks. To the rear is an enclosed lawned garden and decking area where you can relax and sunbathe.
