Head into the lounge, which has a beautiful wooden floor, to light the wood burner that is set into a stone inglenook and settle back on the soft seating in front of the TV.

Head into the kitchen to make a cup of tea to enjoy with the fresh scones you have bought and to prepare homecooked meals for your friends and family to sit down at the table in the dining room. One of your bedrooms, a twin, and a family shower room are also located downstairs.

Two more bedrooms, a twin and a double, are up on the first floor, together with a beautiful bathroom, with a free-standing bath. Sit out on the covered veranda during the warmer months.

Have breakfast here on summer mornings and cocktails in the evening. Let your four-legged friends and children race about on the grass within the enclosed garden.

The cottage is 18.5 miles from Bude, with its beautiful Summerleaze Beach and well placed for days out to the golden sands of Westward Ho!, 17.5 miles away. It is also ideal for anyone eager to follow a section of the South West Coast Path.

Alternatively, spend time on the spectacular beach at Widemouth Bay, 11.5 miles away. Plan a day trip to Tintagel, 26.5 miles away, to see the castle that forms part of the legends of King Arthur.
