If you can bear to say goodnight to the frivolity, then the upstairs is laid out for a great night's sleep. Discover three cosy bedrooms; choose from one of the two doubles or the twin bedroom.

In the morning, sip your coffee out in the garden before freshening up in the wet room or contemporary family bathroom with a bubbly bath and a good book. Guests will also benefit from private parking for one car.

Walk or drive to Woolacombe Beach for a full day spent lazing on the sand or boarding in the sea. There are even surfing lessons available if you're new to it.

If swapping waves for wheels sounds more your thing, the Tarka Trail is right on your doorstep – this legendary route offers 180 miles of leisurely bike rides and countryside walks. Art lovers must visit Damien Hirst's Verity on Ilfracombe Pier (4 miles), while those wanting to see a show can stop by The Landmark.

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - EX34 0NG

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park  is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.
Exmoor Zoo - EX31 4SG

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.

As well as gorgeous scenery, picnic areas and plenty of space for children to play the park offers a Play Area, Tea Room serving local produce, a Petting Zoo where little ones will love meeting the affectionate animals and Nature tTails. Milky Way Adventure Park - EX39 5RY

The Milky Way Adventure Park is a fun day out for the whole family and has rides and attractions for all ages. There are four major rides including a thrilling roller coaster and an amazing vertical slide for the older kids and grown ups and six fascinating live shows which will entertain the whole family. During your visit you can enjoy bird of prey experiences, find your way out of the maze and feed and cuddle the baby animals.
