About Devon House

Set on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Bradworthy, this impressive residence offers elegant, fresh and spacious accommodation for larger families and groups of friends. Perfect for reunions, celebrations and get-togethers, the beautifully updated property has ample space for ten guests across five stylish bedrooms.

Occupying an ideal position for exploring the stunning beaches, magical countryside and quaint villages of North Devon and North Cornwall, this characterful getaway features soft furnishings, beautiful decor, a games room, ground-floor underfloor heating, and a wonderful hot tub. Entering this airy property, the welcoming hallway leads through to a large, light-filled open-plan kitchen/diner with a main dining table, a central island and plenty of equipment and workspace for preparing family feasts.

From the dining room, step through into the cosy lounge with sumptuous seating and a Smart TV. Meanwhile, the games room has a quarter-size billiards table and a choice of board games.

Five tastefully furnished bedrooms are upstairs, two with en-suite facilities: there are four charming super-king-size rooms (which can be made up as twin rooms on request) and a lovely king-size room. The accommodation also offers a refreshing bathroom.

From both the games room and the dining area, patio doors lead into the sunny enclosed garden with a lovely lawn and a furnished patio area perfect for a BBQ or for luxuriating in the hot tub. Private parking is available for five cars along the gravelled driveway.

The Hartland Heritage Coast (6 miles) offers wonderfully rugged walks with breathtaking views across the northern reaches of both Devon and Cornwall. Local attractions inland include the Tamar Lakes Activity Centre, Dunsdon National Nature Reserve and Dunsland, all within 12 miles.

The historic village of Clovelly is to the north (9 miles) while Bude, 11.5 miles to the west, is known for its glorious beaches.

There are four major rides including a thrilling roller coaster and an amazing vertical slide for the older kids and grown ups and six fascinating live shows which will entertain the whole family. During your visit you can enjoy bird of prey experiences, find your way out of the maze and feed and cuddle the baby animals.

Trethorne Leisure Park - PL15 8QE

Trethrone Leisure Park in Cornwall is a popular choice for a family day out and offers an excellent programme of activities for children all year round. The park has a farm area where younger kids will love feeding the lambs and other friendly animals. Pony rides, a large play area, ball pool; trampolines and crazy golf are also available.

North Devon Farm Park is a haven for wildlife and has a fantastic location making it the perfect place for a day out during the summertime. As well as gorgeous scenery, picnic areas and plenty of space for children to play the park offers a Play Area, Tea Room serving local produce, a Petting Zoo where little ones will love meeting the affectionate animals and Nature tTails. Tintagel Castle - PL34 0HE

Tintagel Castle is one of the most iconic landmarks in Cornwall and is an excellent place for a family day out. Situated on the stunning Cornish Coast the Castle has a mystical and magical presence and is steeped in historical importance. Indeed the Legend of King Arthur was born right here. The Castle and grounds also provide a home for many species of wildlife as well as some amazing flora and fauna. The site also has a small visitor's centre with souvenir shop and a wonderful Beach Café.
Exmoor Zoo - EX31 4SG

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - EX34 0NG

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park  is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.
