About Knowles

Welcome to Knowles, a superb detached Victorian country house in Colyton, Devon. This impressive home, dating back to 1890, offers a perfect retreat for family reunions or special celebrations.

With seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, and the capacity to sleep 13 guests, Knowles provides ample space and comfort for everyone.

Step inside and discover a light-filled home adorned with beautiful decorative fireplaces and original features. The large hall with stylish parquet flooring leads to a kitchen/breakfast room equipped with an Aga and handy scullery.

The dining room, conservatory, and lounge with an open fire offer multiple spaces for relaxation and dining.

The first floor boasts six sumptuous bedrooms, including two king-size rooms with en-suite shower rooms, a double with an en-suite, a single with an en-suite, and two twin bedrooms. A stylish family bathroom completes the layout.

Outside, the large grounds feature mature gardens, a croquet lawn, a five-a-side football pitch, and a decked area with a BBQ.

For added luxury, a hot tub is available to hire on request. Nearby attractions include Holyford Woods (2.5 miles), Lyme Regis for fossil hunting (6.5 miles), and Seaton for the Wetlands and tramway rides (6.5 miles).

The market town of Axminster (6.5 miles) offers a weekly market and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen.

This popular adventure park is full of thrills and excitement as well as having loads for younger children to take part in as well. The best theme park rides include the Tidal Wave log flume and Maximus the rollercoaster.  Other fantastic rides include the the New Vortex Watercoaster ride and the Queen Bess pirate ship.  Indoor fun is plentiful too with the Adventure Zone, the Magical Kingdom and Dina's Lost World.
Bicton Park and Gardens - EX9 7BJ
