This charming complex of three converted barns and a stone cottage is surrounded by rolling Devon countryside; it offers an idyllic retreat for large groups who are on holiday together but are looking for their own space at the same time. It is located in the village of Broadhempston, which is home to two pubs, a community-run shop, and a 13th-century church.
The accommodation is ideally situated for exploring the rugged landscapes of Dartmoor National Park (11.5 miles), while the golden sands of Blackpool Sands Beach (19.5 miles) and the vibrant seaside town of Torquay (10.5 miles) promise memorable coastal days. Torquay’s harbour and marina are perfect for seafood lunches.
Kids can spot their favourite animals during a trip to Paignton Zoo (8.5 miles), and the riverside town of Dartmouth is well worth a visit for its art galleries, shops and restaurants (20 miles). The four properties combined can accommodate up to 18 people – one property sleeps two, one sleeps four, and the other two sleep six – so there is plenty of room for everyone.
The cottage for two has characterful exposed beams throughout. Spread across three floors are a cosy lounge with a Smart TV, wood burner and dining table, a compact kitchen, a king-size bedroom, and a shower room.
In the cottage sleeping four, you’ll find a lovely open-plan living space with slate floor tiles, where the kitchen flows into the living/dining area. Features include a Smart TV and an electric fire.
Upstairs are a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a bathroom with shower over the bath. Next up is a light and bright reverse-level property sleeping six.
The modern open-plan living-space features an all-white kitchen, a dining table, and plush sofas arranged around the Smart TV and wood burner. Downstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms: a king-size, a double with an en-suite shower room, and a twin, plus a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
