About Mill Cottage

Reached by a 3/4 of a mile private drive, this Cottage is tucked away in a wonderfully secluded rural setting just outside the peaceful village of George Nympton. The cottage is situated on an organic farm and is set in the Mole Valley overlooking the River Mole and offers a tranquil escape surrounded by North Devon countryside.

The nearby market town of South Molton is approximately 4 miles away, providing a good selection of independent shops, cafés and local amenities, including a Pannier Market every Thursday and Saturday. For walkers and nature lovers, an abundance of scenic countryside routes can be accessed directly from the surrounding lanes, while the edge of Exmoor National Park lies around 10 miles away, opening up a wealth of dramatic landscapes and memorable walking trails.

Further afield, the golden sands of Saunton Sands are around 18 miles away, with the beautiful North Devon coastline also within easy reach for day trips. This peaceful location is ideal for couples looking to slow the pace and reconnect with nature.

The cottage, dating back approximately 300 years, immediately charms with its wealth of character features, including exposed stonework, 2ft thick stone walls, and rustic shelving which creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You enter straight into the open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, thoughtfully arranged to make the most of the space.

The lounge area offers a comfortable sofa, table and chairs, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the countryside. The dining space provides a cosy setting for leisurely meals, while the kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances needed for a stress-free self-catering stay.

Moving through the cottage, the inviting bedroom features a comfortable double bed, shelving and drawer space, offering a peaceful night’s rest, while a separate shower room completes the interior accommodation. Outside, this cottage truly excels, with outdoor space in abundance and breathtaking views across the Mole Valley and Mole River.
