The rugged moorland of Exmoor National Park lies roughly 10 miles to the north-east, offering spectacular walking and wildlife. Closer to home, a popular Inn (around 2 miles) provides a welcoming option for food and drink, while Barnstaple offers a wide selection of delightful shops, charming cafés and stylish restaurants, plus the tidal River Taw runs nearby.
