There’s no shortage of activities nearby, with The Royal North Devon Golf Club a stone's throw away and the seaside village of Westward Ho!offering a wealth of exciting adventures within walking distance. Head to the beach (0. 5 miles) to surf, sunbathe or hunt for treasures in the rockpools, or explore Northam Burrows Country Park, where wildlife thrives amongst the rolling sand dunes. Visit the charming villages of Appledore (2 miles) and Instow (2. 5 miles), travelling between the two on the estuary by passenger ferry during the summer months.

offering a wealth of exciting adventures within walking distance. Head to the beach (0.5 miles) to surf, sunbathe or hunt for treasures in the rockpools, or explore Northam Burrows Country Park, where wildlife thrives amongst the rolling sand dunes.

Visit the charming villages of Appledore (2 miles) and Instow (2.5 miles), travelling between the two on the estuary by passenger ferry during the summer months. Alternatively, follow the coastal path to Abbotsham Cliffs (5 miles) for breathtaking cliff-top views.

Younger guests will love a day out at The Big Sheep theme park (3 miles), and you’ll find a great selection of pubs and eateries in Bideford (2.5 miles) or Barnstaple (8.5 miles) to round off your day. This bright and airy holiday home features a reverse-level layout, with high ceilings and skylights allowing natural light to flood the open-plan living space on the first floor.

Enter a welcoming hallway that provides access to four bedrooms. The largest, a super-king-size room, offers a luxurious retreat for your guests of honour, complete with a TV, patio doors to the outside, and a private en-suite shower room.

Another double bedroom also benefits from an en-suite shower room and has its own TV. The remaining bedrooms – one twin and one bunk room – share access to a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

Completing the ground floor is a fantastic games room, featuring comfortable seating, table football, Nintendo Switch console and a Smart TV – perfect for children and teens. While younger guests are entertained here, adults can make the most of the superb lounge/kitchen/diner upstairs.

North Devon Farm Park - EX32 7ET

North Devon Farm Park is a haven for wildlife and has a fantastic location making it the perfect place for a day out during the summertime. As well as gorgeous scenery, picnic areas and plenty of space for children to play the park offers a Play Area, Tea Room serving local produce, a Petting Zoo where little ones will love meeting the affectionate animals and Nature tTails. There is also a Play Area.
Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - EX34 0NG

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park  is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.
Exmoor Zoo - EX31 4SG

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
Dingles Steam Village - EX14 0RS

Dingles Steam Village is an all weather attraction crammed with activities for the whole family to enjoy. The site has a wonderful Café serving home cooked meals, a fun Soft Play Area for younger children, an Agility Course for older kids and several Nature Trails for the family to explore together. The site also displays working and static exhibits of Steam Engines as well as old Fairground Rides so is educational as well as fun!
