This elegant luxury property is set in Kingswear’s quiet historic Conservation Area, on the South West Coast Path, via the side gate to Prince’s Steps; ideal for exploring the area by foot, including The old Battery and National Trust Coleton Fishacre. All in South Hams National Landscape.
Opposite the house are public steps down to Colins Quay, the Dart, and a petite beach perfect for crabbing or launching a paddle board. Enjoy Kingswear pubs and fresh caught local fish and chips Friday nights from the Fish Shack.
Omega is 300m from the lower ferry to Dartmouth with its award winning restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and galleries. Visit the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth Castle or Castle Cove for beach days and a secluded swim.
Take the ferry to National Trust Agatha Christie's Greenway House, or cruise on Britain's last beautiful river paddle steamer Kingswear Castle, June to September on the enchanting river Dart. Steam trains from Kingswear station chuff to Paignton and back for The Harbour Lights restaurant, old harbour and Fairy Cove or pier.
Kingswear and Dartmouth have a warm microclimate where spring comes early and the magnificent Magnolias bloom from mid February onwards, along with Camelias, Japonicas, purple Periwinkles, primroses and daffodils. Visit in March or April to catch them in their full glory.
The micro climate also allows giant agave, tree ferns, palm trees and other subtropical flowers to flourish. Dartmouth has a Food Festival, Music Festival and Regatta.
Christmas festivities start with Candlelit Dartmouth on the 28th and 29th November, features carol singing, Christmas Lantern workshop and parade, festive hot food and artisan market. Additionally the steam train of lights with optional Santa runs from 29th November to 23rd December.
