To the south of the River Taw, the pretty village of Instow (5 miles) offers a lovely sandy beach, while the sweeping shores of Saunton Sands (8 miles), Croyde Bay (9 miles) and Woolacombe (10 miles) lie to the north.

Keen walkers and cyclists can follow the Tarka Trail, and the breath taking landscapes of Exmoor National Park are just 15 miles away. Other nearby attractions include Arlington Court, The BIG Sheep, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, and the Victorian seaside resort of Westward Ho!, all within 15 miles.
