You’ll also be just 7 miles from the wild and rugged landscape of Exmoor National Park. North Devon is also renowned for its magnificent beaches, boasting miles of sandy shorelines and excellent surfing conditions; from the cottage, you can spend the day at Saunton Sands, Westward Ho!, or Croyde, all within 25 miles. There are some wonderful family attractions nearby, including Quince Honey Farm (5. 5 miles) and The Big Sheep (24 miles).

You’ll find numerous walking trails to explore directly from the property, along quiet country lanes and through open farmland. You’ll also be just 7 miles from the wild and rugged landscape of Exmoor National Park.

North Devon is also renowned for its magnificent beaches, boasting miles of sandy shorelines and excellent surfing conditions; from the cottage, you can spend the day at Saunton Sands, Westward Ho!, or Croyde, all within 25 miles. There are some wonderful family attractions nearby, including Quince Honey Farm (5.5 miles) and The Big Sheep (24 miles).

For shopping and eating out, the market towns of South Molton (4 miles) and Barnstaple (15 miles) are within easy reach. The cottage has a reverse-level layout and is decorated in calming, neutral tones that reflect the surrounding landscape.

On the ground floor, you’ll find an elegant king-size bedroom with tranquil decor and leafy views, perfect for a good night’s sleep. There’s also a cosy bunk bedroom on this level that’s ideal for children.

Rounding off the ground floor is a contemporary family bathroom. Upstairs, discover an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with French doors opening onto the patio and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax.

In one corner is a sleek kitchen area with all the equipment needed to cater for the group, and nestled under the window is a cute dining table for enjoying mealtimes together. After dinner, retire to the plump sofas in the lounge area to watch a movie on the Smart TV.

North Devon Farm Park - EX32 7ET
about 10 Miles
North Devon Farm Park is a haven for wildlife and has a fantastic location making it the perfect place for a day out during the summertime. As well as gorgeous scenery, picnic areas and plenty of space for children to play the park offers a Play Area, Tea Room serving local produce, a Petting Zoo where little ones will love meeting the affectionate animals and Nature tTails. There is also a Play Area.
Exmoor Zoo - EX31 4SG

Exmoor Zoo is described as a "family zoo" on their website and it certainly makes a great day out for families.  There are many exotic and rare animals as well as birds to see which are living in natural surroundings.  Some recent improvements at the zoo include a new 5 metre tower at the cheetahs and raised walkways at the "beast".  There is also a new viewing platform over the sitatunga.  As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park - EX34 0NG

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park  is a big hit with families and has a wonderful setting within 26 acres of Sub Tropical grounds. During a stroll around the site you will encounter so of the worlds most endangered animals and also take a peek back to prehistoric times when Dinosaurs roamed the earth. The park is home to the worlds only full size animatronic Tyrannosaurus Rex as well as Lions, Wolves, Sea Lions, Meerkats and many other species, Top attractions include the amazing Sea Lion Shows, Falconry Display and Sea Lion Swims.
The Donkey Sanctuary - EX10 0NU

The Donkey Sanctuary is a working refuge for rescued Donkeys but is also a popular place for a day trip in South Devon. The site will appeal to animal lovers of all ages and gives visitors the chance to meet some of the friendly animals and also learn about the work done at the sanctuary. Visitors will also have the opportunity to adopt a Donkey.

This popular adventure park is full of thrills and excitement as well as having loads for younger children to take part in as well. The best theme park rides include the Tidal Wave log flume and Maximus the rollercoaster.  Other fantastic rides include the the New Vortex Watercoaster ride and the Queen Bess pirate ship.  Indoor fun is plentiful too with the Adventure Zone, the Magical Kingdom and Dina's Lost World.
