Ideally placed for touring the Jurassic Coast, Winfrith Newburgh is well serviced with local amenities and is within 5 miles of both Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. The village is 10 miles east of the county town, Dorchester, or you could visit historic Wareham 8 miles to the west.
Here you can walk within the old walls or enjoy lunch beside the river. Those looking for a family-friendly day out can visit the Sea Life centre in Weymouth or Swannery in Abbotsbury.
Corfe Castle is also well worth a visit too and is home to castle ruins cared for by the National Trust. You can often find steam trains running between here and the seaside town of Swanage, and all these attractions are within a 20-mile radius.
From the parking area, you can enter this charming, detached holiday home from the rear garden and enter the boot room. This is the ideal space to leave muddy footwear and coats.
Next is the lovely kitchen/diner. This spacious and sociable room has an electric AGA as well as an electric oven and hob.
There is also a microwave, American-style fridge/freezer and dishwasher. You can enjoy leisurely meals at the table just opposite or take your coffee into the beautiful conservatory, which has a grapevine weaving across the ceiling.
Next to the kitchen is a useful utility room with WC, washing machine and tumble dryer. A hallway leads from here to the play room area for younger guests filled with toys, books and a smart TV.
Adjacent to this room is a cosy ground floor single bedroom that can be used for younger or older guests as there is a useful shower room located opposite. Heading back into the centre of the house is a cosy snug area with football table, complete with a wood burner and a door to the inviting lounge, which has a Smart TV and another wood burner.
