Langlands Farmhouse

Set in the Somerset village of Kingsdon, this beautifully updated stone farmhouse offers a refined, characterful retreat for families and groups of friends. With the village pub less than 100 metres away and walking routes from the doorstep, it’s ideal for relaxed days outdoors.

With a play park and the idyllic village church just a short walk away. The A303 is around a mile away for easy touring, while the market town of Somerton (3.5 miles) provides shops, pubs and restaurants.

The Newt in Somerset is also within easy reach (11 miles) for gardens, woodland walks, spa experiences and dining, and Castle Cary Railway Station (around 11 miles) opens up effortless day trips to Bristol, Bath, Glastonbury and Yeovil. Inside, there’s generous space for together-time and quiet corners alike.

A welcoming character filled flag stone floor entrance hall leading to two reception rooms — a drawing room and a separate lounge. Both are divided by wide doors that can be opened to create one large social space.

Both rooms feature open fires for cosy evenings, while the lounge also includes comfortable seating and a Smart TV for film nights. There is a separate boot and utility room, which offers a practical space for coats and walking kit.

When stomachs start rumbling, walk through to the well-appointed kitchen to find an exceptional space with everything needed for cooking up group feasts. There is a breakfast bench for coffee, planning the day, or informal meals.

For long group suppers, the dining room seats 12 beside a wood burner with cosy fireside chairs. There is a study for convenient working away from home.

Sleeping accommodation is arranged across six individually styled bedrooms, designed for flexibility across mixed groups. Upstairs in the main house are five bedrooms: a super-king-size master with dressing and en-suite shower room, a second master super-king-size bedroom with separate dressing room and en-suite bathroom with separate shower, a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room, a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom served by a bathroom across the landing.
