Situated in the Blackdown Hills, this rural shepherd’s hut is a fantastic, romantic retreat for a couple escaping the day-to-day to get back to nature. Explore the abundant and diverse National Landscape on foot or bike, which are available to borrow.

Visit the lovely nature reserve of Quarts Moor (6.5 miles) and enjoy the ancient forest and beautiful views. You will be able to pick up essentials from the local village, Churchinford (1 mile), which has a shop and a country pub.

Further afield is the bustling town of Taunton (8 miles) with its eclectic mix of shops and restaurants. If you fancy a day by the coast, head to the picturesque, seaside resort of Lyme Regis (23 miles) with its iconic harbour and lovely beaches.

Situated within its own paddock, this cosy shepherd’s hut sits in an idyllic, rural spot. Stepping inside, the hut is well designed to maximise the space.

To one side is a kitchenette which contains a fridge with a freezer compartment, and a hob, so you can cook up quick and easy breakfasts to fill you up. Adjacent is a table with two chairs if you need to hide from the great British weather.

To the other side is a double bed set in front of a window so you can look over the countryside during lazy mornings. A roaring wood burner keeps the hut warm.

The lovely bathroom has a rainfall shower and a WC. Outside is the real jewel in this property’s crown.

You will have an enclosed garden space with furniture and a fire pit, alongside a wood-fired hot tub where you can soak away the day with a glass of something nice. The owners have kindly provided bathrobes and blankets so you can keep warm outside.
