About Sweethay Meadow Lodge

This luxurious holiday retreat enjoys a peaceful setting in a quaint Somerset hamlet, 2.5 miles from the county town of Taunton. The pet-friendly property welcomes six guests and suits both families and friends seeking a stylish base from which to explore both the coast and the countryside.

The property’s central location makes it easy to visit the seaside resorts of the north and south coast, including the sandy beach and historic harbour of Minehead Seafront (26 miles). Visit Dunster Castle (26 miles) with its spectacular gardens and working watermill, or take a nostalgic trip back in time on the West Somerset Steam Railway (9 miles).

You’ll be nestled between the National Landscapes of the Blackdown and Quantock Hills, and only 30 miles from Exmoor National Park, offering endless opportunities for countryside rambles. Alternatively, journey to the coast to pick up the long-distance South West Coast Path.

After a day of exploring, head into Taunton to dine in one of the friendly pubs or restaurants. The town also has a good range of independent shops to peruse and hosts a regular farmers’ market.

The single-storey property is decorated in a contemporary style, with exceptional attention to detail in the fixtures and fittings. The holiday home is bright and airy, and many of the rooms enjoy rural views.
