Set among the quiet countryside around Llanddona, this rustic cabin feels closely connected to its surroundings, with natural materials and handcrafted details giving it an outdoorsy character. The village's namesake beach is just 2 miles away, making days at the shore easy for families, and there’s swimming, waterside walks and water sports on offer too.

From here, you can also access the Anglesey Coastal Path, which offers wildlife spotting opportunities as well as stunning views. Beaumaris is 5 miles from the cabin and is a handy place to stock up on local produce, browse the independent shops or settle into a pub before visiting the UNESCO-listed Beaumaris Castle.

Kick the holiday into high gear at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (18 miles), or onto the mainland for a day hiking in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park (15 miles). Inside, this single-level lodge has been carefully designed for a social escape, with an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that provides comfort and practicality.

To the left is the lounge space, where deep seating is cleverly arranged to make the most of the Conwy Mountain views, while the Smart TV is great when coupled with evenings of biscuits and cups of tea. The central wood burner warms this rustic gem.

The modern kitchen sits at the back of the room, with a good selection of cooking equipment for hearty dinners or light lunches, and a breakfast bar with stools to keep the chef company. Adjacent to this is a large dining table, with seating for six guests.

The accommodation features three lovely bedrooms, which are accessible from the open-plan space. The first is the charming double, with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

The second is a cosy double bedroom, and the third is a well-appointed twin room with fixed beds. The family bathroom is the finishing touch to the abode, and boasts a bath and WC.
