Beacons Hot Tub Retreat Reviews

Jamie
We really enjoyed our stay here! The host was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The location is lovely, perfect for a quick getaway. The place has everything we neededand the log burner kept us cosy on a chilly evening. The hot tub is a real treat, but you do need to plan ahead - it's not just a switch to turn on. If you want a relaxing dip first thing, light the fire the night before. It's all part of the experience, really. Definitely a place we'd come back to, no doubt!
Emma
We recently stayed at this cosy shepherd's hut and honestly, it was just what we needed. The space had all the essentials plus little touches that made it special. Our dog loved having her own garden to explore safely. The hot tub was a highlight, even if it took some effort to get it going with the fire and wood, but totally worth it! We enjoyed relaxing under the moon and even had a sunrise dip - it stayed warm enough. The views of the Carmarthen Fans are stunningand plenty of lovely walks are nearby. We visited Dinefwr twice and had a cracking Sunday lunch at the Red Lion, Llandybie. Brilliant weekend!
Harriet
We had a fantastic time at the Shepherds hut! The setting was perfect-serene and quiet, ideal for relaxing and unwinding. We enjoyed lovely walks with the dogand the hot tub was a real treat after a day out. The hut was surprisingly well equipped for its size, making it easy to cook simple meals. Penny was a lovely host-friendly, helpfuland respectful of our privacy. Although the space was small, we stayed warm and comfyand spent plenty of time outside soaking up the peaceful surroundings. Absolutely grateful for such a lovely holiday!
Emma
Great spot, super welcoming to dogsand the wood-fired hot tub was definitely worth the effort.
David
This cosy spot was perfect for a chilled break. The host was super friendly and really helpful with tips around the area. The welcome pack with local shops and cafes was a lovely touch. Spending evenings in the hot tub under the stars was magical - my girlfriend absolutely loved it! Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway.
Ellie
We had an really relaxing week at the Hut! It's well equipped with all the basics and super clean, which we really appreciated. Our three little dogs loved the space - there was plenty of room for everyone. The hot tub was definitely a highlight, perfect for unwinding after a few hours by the fire, just need to be patient and keep it lit. The WiFi dongle worked well on the window ledge, but honestly, it was quite refreshing to switch off from TV screens and just enjoy a radio and some books instead. We explored the local area by car and had a fab glamping trip overall!
Emma
Honestly, Shepshed hut was pretty underwhelming. It's definitely not a hot tub, more like a lukewarm bath that takes ages to heat up. That really put a dampener on our weekend. On the plus side, the location's great for visiting nearby spots. If you're after a relaxing hot tub weekend, I'd say give it a miss.
Alex
Had a lovely time at the Shepard's hut, perfect for dogs and plenty of nearby walks to enjoy!
Emma Carter
We loved the peaceful vibe here! The owners were super friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. The spot's perfect if you want to disconnect - very little signal, so it's ideal for a proper break. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially after the initial warm-up. It's close enough to loads of fun activities too, so we'd definitely come back!
Emily
We loved the peaceful vibe and stunning scenery here, it's perfect for unwinding. The lack of signal was actually a plus for us, but we can see how it might be tricky if you're alone and need connectivity. The hot tub is a nice concept but a bit of a hassle; we gave up after trying to get the water warm. Overall, it's a lovely spot, just not quite right for everyone's needs, especially if you're after easy access to your phone. Still, a great escape!
Emily
We had a fantastic week in the shepherd's hut! Our three spaniels loved it just as much as usand it was such a relief to know they were safe and happy. The log burner made evenings super cosyand even though the hot tub took ages to warm up, it was worth the wait. If you're after a comfy, little glamping spot, this place is a real treasure. Definitely recommend!
Emma Roberts
We had a lovely stay in the shepherd's hut, especially enjoyed the small log fire and the hot tub-perfect for all weather. The enclosed space was great for our dog, with loads of nearby walks. It was super peaceful and private at night, though during the day, some vehicle noise from the equestrian centre was noticeable, especially during events. We'd definitely come back, just avoiding busy event days next time. Overall, a really charming spot!
Emma
We loved how peaceful and remote the place was, yet still easy to reach main roads after a short drive. The hut was spotless and had some fun games to pass the time. The hot tub takes a while to warm up, so give it plenty of time-totally worth the wait! No phone signal inside, which we actually enjoyed as it added to the escape vibe. It's a working farm, so privacy is guaranteed. We had a brilliant stay and definitely plan to return!
Emma
We had a great stay! The views were absolutely stunning, especially with the sunrise over the mountains - really breath-taking. The place felt super private and secure, perfect for our dog to run around freely. The only hiccup was the hot tub - it took ages to heat up, so a bit of patience was needed. No phone signal or Wi-Fi was actually quite nice, helped us unwind without distractions. The location's spot on, with a cute little town just a few minutes' drive for groceries and meals. Would definitely come back!
Emily
We had such a great stay at this shepherd's hut! It's super cosy and feels really welcoming. Even with the rain pouring every day, we stayed warm and dry inside - perfect for relaxing. Being off grid was a real treat, letting us unwind completely. The hot tub was fantastic, though it was tricky to keep it hot for long, but we still had lots of fun. Overall, a lovely escape we'd definitely recommend - we really enjoyed ourselves!
Emma T.
We had a lovely escape here. The host was super friendly and really thoughtful. Great spot to unwind and forget about everything for a bit. Plenty of walks for the dogs, which was perfect. Being off-grid was actually quite refreshing - just what we needed! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful break.
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay in the Shepherds Hut. It's cosy and perfect for us and our dog. The hot tub was fantasticand having plenty of logs was a bonus. Basic cooking facilities, but WiFi was a bit quirky. Would definitely come back!
Emma
We had such a lovely stay! The hut is really charming and super cosy-the bed was incredibly comfy, which made all the difference. The setting is just perfect if you're after some peace and quiet; we loved being totally cut off from the world, with no mobile signal or TV. Just outside the hut, you can get a signal if needed. The outdoor space was enough for the dogs to have a good mooch around. We mostly relaxed, though the weather was a bit rubbish, so we didn't get to try the hot tub, but it looked great. All in all, a really relaxing break!
Emily Carter
We spent a long weekend here with three of us and our dogs. The secure fence around the hut was great for our big breedsand the hot tub was a real highlight-takes a bit to heat up, but once it does, it stays nice and warm. The views are stunningand the facilities are spot on. The shower was hot and refreshingand the bed super comfy. Signal's poor, but honestly, that's part of the charm for us. We'll definitely be coming back!
Emma
We loved the Beacons hot tub retreat-so peaceful and cosy. Even with the not-so-great weather, relaxing in the hot tub after days of exploring was a real highlight. The secluded vibe made it feel like a proper escape for us and our dog Crystal!
