Enjoy relaxing afternoons using the on-site spa facilities or head further afield to explore the surrounding Welsh landscapes. Heading north, you’ll soon reach the Bae Ceredigion coastline, which offers fantastic opportunities for walking and wildlife watching. The colourful harbour town of Aberaeron (7.5 miles) boasts quaint boutiques and craft shops, along with seafood restaurants, ice cream parlours, and fish and chip shops.

Alternatively, the pretty fishing village of New Quay awaits 7 miles away. The single-storey holiday home is decorated in a contemporary style, with a calming colour palette and an array of homely touches.

After days full of Welsh adventure, retreat to the property’s social heart – the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This homely space is perfect for unwinding thanks to the lounge area’s soft seating, Smart TV and roaring wood burner – ideal for cosy movie nights.

Lampeter 2 miles. Set on a hillside, in the village of Pentrebach near Lampeter, this former farmhouse enjoys far-reaching south-facing countryside views. Once off the main road and on a 'no through' road, you will pass two houses on your way up to the property and then only come across the local farm traffic thereafter.

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
Dinefwr Park and Castle - SA19 6RT

Dinefwr Park and Castle is the perfect place to come if you like the great outdoors. These stunning ruins are one of the areas most iconic landmarks and are surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife of all descriptions. There is also a 17th century mansion to explore with grand rooms and wonderful exhibits of paintings and tapestries. The gardens feature amazing floral displays and there is also a delightful Tea Room. Children can let of steam on the adventure playground.

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
