This countryside retreat for two is in the West Wales village of Mydroilyn, 4 miles from the bustling town of Lampeter. Enjoy tranquil walks directly from the property, or journey further afield to explore the woodland tracks at Brechfa Forest (17 miles) or the wildlife trails at Cors Caron National Nature Reserve (21 miles).
For a day at the seaside, journey north to explore the colourful coastal town of Aberaeron (7.5 miles). The town has a great range of independent shops and boutiques to potter around, as well as an excellent collection of pubs and restaurants.
The university town of Lampeter also has a good selection of independent shops, and hosts regular farmers’ markets where you can pick up delicious local produce for your supper. For boat trips and sea safaris, head to the quaint fishing village of New Quay (7 miles).
Enter the stone cottage into the bright and inviting lounge/diner, which is decorated in a contemporary style and features a plush, L-shaped sofa set in front of a Smart TV and warming wood burner. Nestled under the window is a chic dining table for sharing mealtimes.
Just off the lounge/diner is a refreshing shower room, and down a few steps, you’ll find the kitchen, which is equipped with everything needed for a successful self-catering getaway. There’s also a central island where you can sip a morning coffee as you plan your day.
Upstairs, set under a sloping ceiling in the eaves, is a cosy twin bedroom with an en-suite WC. Please note, the bedroom has restricted head height in some areas.
Outside, soak up the sunshine in your private patio garden, where you’ll find furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the on-site spa facilities and indoor swimming pool (additional charges apply) and meet the local farm animals.
