Inside the property has been beautifully maintained, blending period features such as an original fireplace and polished wooden floors with modern comforts. Relax after adventurous days in the warm, inviting lounge, snuggled in front of the wood burner to watch TV or enjoy quality time together.

With warm wooden cabinets and colourful tiles, the kitchen is a delight to prepare everything from lazy breakfasts to hearty home-cooked meals. Dine in or out with a breakfast table here and a bistro table and chairs on the raised terrace.

When it’s time for bed, get cosy under the covers of the sumptuous king-size bed before a refreshing shower in the stylish shower room. The living space extends outdoors with outdoors sofas on the terrace and lower level, and a hot tub tucked beneath the terrace with far-reaching country views.

Private parking for one car adds to the ease of your stay. Head to the market town of Lampeter (7.5 miles) for independent shops, cosy cafes and the Welsh Quilt Centre, or get a taste of the coast.

Aberaeron (17.5 miles) boasts a colourful harbour and fresh seafood, while New Quay (15 miles) offers sandy beaches and dolphin-spotting boat trips. Nature lovers will enjoy the leafy trails of Brechfa Forest (9 miles) while a sunset stroll at Llangrannog Beach (17.5 miles) is the ideal way to round off your day.

Lampeter 2 miles. Set on a hillside, in the village of Pentrebach near Lampeter, this former farmhouse enjoys far-reaching south-facing countryside views. Once off the main road and on a 'no through' road, you will pass two houses on your way up to the property and then only come across the local farm traffic thereafter.

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
Dinefwr Park and Castle - SA19 6RT

Dinefwr Park and Castle is the perfect place to come if you like the great outdoors. These stunning ruins are one of the areas most iconic landmarks and are surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife of all descriptions. There is also a 17th century mansion to explore with grand rooms and wonderful exhibits of paintings and tapestries. The gardens feature amazing floral displays and there is also a delightful Tea Room. Children can let of steam on the adventure playground.

When the weather is nice this attraction is perfect as you can wander around and admire the superb range of exotic trees and shrubs.  They look different at different times of the year but one of the most popular times to see them is in Autumn.  With various events throughout the year such as Apple Weekend there is always something new to experience.  You can watch a 90 second film about this attraction on their website which is excellent.
