Once a granary, now thoughtfully converted into a luxurious retreat, this stunning barn boasts stylish decor mixed with traditional features. Leave your walking gear in the hallway and then head into the bright and airy lounge/kitchen/diner.

Set underneath exposed beams against stone walls, this is a sociable space with a warming wood burner to keep you toasty. Rustle up delicious meals for the guests in the beautifully crafted kitchen and then rest in the lounge space.

A separate mezzanine provides a great spot for taking some time out and getting stuck into a good book. The six bedrooms are situated on both the ground and first floor.

Two king-size bedrooms both of which benefit from en-suite shower rooms, a twin bedroom, and a family bathroom are all on the ground floor. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king-size bed and boasts spectacular views, along with an en-suite bathroom.

Completing the interior is another king-size bedroom with an en-suite, a twin bedroom, and a separate bathroom and WC. Outside, the large patio has plenty of seating for al fresco dining, alongside an outdoor kitchen with a fridge, a pizza oven and a BBQ.

You can also sit back and relax in the bubbling hot tub. Private parking for five cars is also available, as well as an EV charging point.

If you can tear yourselves away from this lovely rural spot, you will find the rolling Clwydian Range (7 miles), with walks of varying difficulty, as well as opportunities to bird watch. If you prefer to kick back and relax, the stunning, sandy shores of Abergele are 13 miles from the property, and the delightful towns of Conwy and Llandudno are also within easy reach (24 miles).

The Seaquarium in Rhyl is a fantastic choice for a family day trip offering the chance to meet strange and exotic marine life from all around the world. The sea animals here come from the depths of the Amazon, Pacific & Indian Oceans as well as from around UK shores. Slimy Eels, scary Sharks and creepy Piranhas are all there to be seen as well as beautiful and elegant Rays. The site also has a café and a gift shop where children can pick up a souvenir. A ticket for a family of 4 is just £27.00

Located in the North of Wales with a spectacular setting high above Colwyn Bay this is a lovely zoo which makes an excellent family day out.  Highlights include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin Parades, Bear Falls and the Children's Farm.  The setting is perfect for walking around and you can take in the superb scenery, roam the wooded pathways and relax on the grassy slopes.  There are many rare and endangered species to see and learn about including the Snow Leopards and the Red Pandas not to mention the Sumatran Tigers. You can also buy the experience of being a zoo keeper for a day, either for yourself or as a gift.

Legend has it that the well first erupted at the spot where Caradog cut off the nuns head with his sword. The stunning temple and well attract visitors from all over the world. Water can be drawn from the spring basin within the crypt and is thought to be lucky.

Fantastic attraction in the Cheshire region suited to family days out as well as school and corporate visits.  The "Jawsome" sharks are a sight to behold and new for 2010 is the Tarantula Tower.  You can save time and money by bookings online and at the moment they are offering a discount of £2.00 per person when you book this way.  Winner of the Visit Chester and Cheshire Best Tourism Experience of the Year - you can be assured of a fun and educational day out.  Look out for special events throughout the year including Boo! Planet Halloween and Otter Month.

This attraction is really something special and has reached the finals of the "Best Family Day Out" category in the National Tourism Awards for Wales.  It's actually the only attraction in North Wales to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. Located in the Snowdonia region there are many rides and activities including Jungle Boat Adventure, Den Building, Green Dragon Roller Caoster, Treetop Towers and the BareFoot Trail.  Kids of all ages will love it here and we think it's excellent value as well.
