Soak in your spectacular countryside views as you make your way up to the front door of this beautiful property. Step inside this contemporary lodge to find a meticulously designed open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner adorned with a breathtaking double-height ceiling and streaming with natural light.

The kitchen is sleek and well-appointed with all the equipment needed to rustle up romantic dinners for two. Catch up on the day's events around the charming dining table before the lovely lounge area beckons weary muscles.

Sink into the plush sofa and binge a box set, or climb into the hot tub on the enclosed balcony under starry skies. At bedtime, venture upstairs to the mezzanine super-king-size bed.

This superb space is adorned with characterful exposed beams and boasts fantastic views. In the morning, freshen up in the stylish shower room.

Private parking is available for one car. Set within 2.5 acres, the property is surrounded by idyllic grounds to explore.

Further afield, Offa's Dyke Trail is just 4.5 miles to the east, making it an excellent base for walkers. Climbers are also well-served, with Allt y Main and Y Golfa just over 12 miles away.

If you prefer a slower pace, then a visit to the renowned 13th-century fortress of Powis Castle is a must, while those seeking shopping opportunities will love perusing the shops at Montgomery (3 miles), where independent boutiques combine with many cafés and pubs for a bite to eat.

Powis Castle and Gardens - SY21 8RF

This National Trust site is one of the finest in Wales. The stunning castle was once a medieval fortress and has been remodelled several times over the last 400 years. The Great Hall is home to some amazing collections of paintings as well as sculptures and tapestries. The gardens are world famous with stunning areas of French and Italian style as well as a gorgeous orangery. Children's activities can be enjoyed during school holidays and on special occasions such as Halloween and Christmas.
Shropshire Wildlife Trust - SY3 5FB
about 22 Miles
This is a fantastic attraction in the Shrewsbury area of Shropshire.  Designed to provide children with a fun and educational experience the whole family can learn about wildlife here and the outdoors.  There are 38 nature reserves in total and visitors are welcomed and encouraged to enjoy the area by taking part in walks, talks and regular events.  Check out their website for the latest events such as Apple Day and Wildlife through the Seasons.
Llangollen Boat Trips - LL20 8TA

Llangollen Wharf is one of the major attractions in North Wales and is an excellent place to spend the day as a family. The Wharf is situated in the peaceful market town of Llangollen - now part of a World Heritage Site. Horse Drawn Boat Trips are available along the feeder for the main canal and are a unique way to explore the area. Motorised Aqueduct Cruises are also on offer for those who prefer a slightly faster pace. Both trips allow visitors to take in all the magnificent sites of Llangollen Canal.
