There's a games room with a pool table and darts board, or you can hang out in the superb kitchen/diner, the heart of the house, which boasts long table where everyone can linger over meals. Glyndwr's Way passes through the town, or you could take a gentle stroll along the River Severn or head into the Cambrian Mountains for a more strenuous hike. At Llyn Clywedog (5 miles), there's a scenic walk around the reservoir.
