Offering stylish and colourful accommodation for up to eight guests, the property has a wealth of features including timber beams, exposed stonework, high vaulted ceilings, a wood burner, a floating landing area and a beautiful garden with magical views.

Sitting within the shadow of the ancient fort of Castell Dinas, this quirky, imaginatively updated rustic-style barn conversion provides a wonderful backdrop for exploring the area’s awe-inspiring landscape. The spacious, beautifully lit open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a lovely main sitting area with a wood burner and Smart TV.

A step leads up to the light-filled dining area and the elegantly arranged kitchen. The ground floor also has a family bathroom and two bedrooms – a twin and a charming en-suite double.

A feature staircase leads up from the living area to the floating landing with exposed beams and a quiet reading area. The first floor offers a shower room and two double bedrooms with sloping ceilings and incredible views.

French doors open out onto the patio, with plenty of outdoor furniture. The surrounding garden has plenty of space for children to play, and there’s a cosy fire pit to gather around as you stargaze into the Dark Skies.

The property lies just outside Talgarth (2 miles), a cheerful market town making a great base for exploring the north-eastern corner of the Brecon Beacons. Dominated by the Black Mountains, including Waun Fach and The Sugar Loaf, the area is perfect for hikers and experienced walkers.

Other local attractions include Tretower Court and Castle, Bronllys Castle and Llangorse Lake – a popular spot for water sports, all within 10 miles.

Cantref Adventure Farm - LD3 8LR

Cantref Adventure Farm offers hours of indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. Inside there is a huge soft play area with a separate area for toddlers as well as ball pools, climbing frames, slides and chutes. The Cannon balls are a big hit with children of all ages. New for 2010 is the Badgers quest interactive maze. Outside there is a play area, large boating lake with paddle boats, nature trails with clues and quizzes and an agility course. At only £29.00 for a family of 4 the park offers outstanding value for money.
Lama Trekking at Old king Street Farm - NP16 6AA

Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available.

The area is abundant with wildlife and you can see how many species you can spot while enjoying the nature trails. The park also has a large children play area and a licensed café. Rhondda Heritage Park - CF37 2NP

Rhondda Heritage Park is located at the former Lewis Merthyr Colliery and is a popular attraction with a range of facilities including a visitor centre, an art gallery, a gift shop, and a lovely period re-constructed Village Street.  Fully guided tours are available and include multimedia presentations as well as a unique trip underground where visitors will experience the life of a coal miner. The site also boasts a children's play area and an underground experience zone.
Puzzlewood - GL16 8QB

Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.
