Enter your new home to find a tastefully-presented living space, where a fully-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar invites you to prepare and enjoy delicious, home-cooked dinners, whilst a sitting area with a corner sofa and wall-mounted Smart TV invite you and your loved ones to kick back and unwind in the evenings. We spent the weekend away as 2 couples. It is an excellent and unique place to stay. The private hot tub was a big bonus and the beds were very comfy. The seating is the only downside. The sofa isnt very comfortable for watching tv if its a rainy day or to spend a night in. The breakfast bar stools were also too high for the bar. There is also nowhere to store your clothes so we just had to put our clothes in the bunk bed room. But overall it is an excellent place to stay with great views. We loved seeing the highland cows and the goats being able to roam around.
Fantastic location with stunning view. Love the Highland cows, goats and the morning wake up call. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Badgers view and definitely hope to return soon. The only criticism I would have is that the internal seating is not the most comfortable and the stools are too high to eat at the breakfast bar

Wonderful experience. The farm is great, with plenty of animals but the hobbit style accommodation is wonderful! Private enough, hot tub a bonus, really comfortable and close enough to Rhayder. Highly recommend.

Clun Castle is a ruined Welsh border castle on a rocky mound beside the River Clun, on the edge of the small, picturesque town of Clun. Founded shortly after the Norman Conquest, it still has its tall 13th century keep, which unusually sits on the side of the mound, along with extensive earthworks to wander around.

Tip: Wear sturdy footwear as the grounds have steep slopes and uneven ground; there is a free car park next to the castle, with toilets, reached by a footbridge with steps.

Hay Castle is a medieval fortification with a 17th-century mansion alongside, right in the centre of the book town of Hay-on-Wye. Founded by the Normans and rebuilt in stone around 1200, it has been attacked and burnt several times over the centuries.

Tip: Use the large public car park off Oxford Road, which has free electric vehicle charging points. Dogs must stay on a lead, and are welcome on the ground floor, in the café and in the grounds.

Aberystwyth Castle is a Grade I listed fortress on the Ceredigion coast, begun by Edward I in 1277 during the first Welsh war. It was built as a diamond-shaped concentric castle, with a twin-towered gatehouse and towers at each corner, and was finished in 1289.

Tip: Bring a windproof layer, as the castle sits right by the sea and the Welsh coast can be breezy and wet.
